The fact that if you have a common wire going to your thermostat most likely, you do not need batteries in that thermostat and, unlike a lot of other appliances, say like a smoke detector. Those batteries are not a backup, in some cases, sometimes that that thermostat relies on those batteries and they construct amount function as they get lower and energy, and the last thing is a lot of thermostats. Do not have a battery indicator on them.

Telling you how low they've gotten! So, if you have a common wire in that thermostat, take those batteries out otherwise make sure you're replacing them once a year because a lot of times, if we're having malfunctioning thermostats that have batteries in them a new set of batteries.
