I like the way when he says "ninety degrees" and the text corrects to "*120°"…
tbh, since the video is so often cut, a correction take wouldn't have been too much instead of patching the correct phase shift value text in there…
Excellent! Service area Ottawa??
hello from america
I always try to think of 3 phase power and motor as a 3 cylinder engine…firing at every 120 deg of rotation. (if that helps any) 3 phase power has 73% more power than its 1 phase counterpart. The one that always throws me off is a 120 volt motor with neutral and a 240 volt motor with 2 hot legs are both considered single phase?? Shouldn't the 240 volt motor be 2 phase?? …and the 120 volt w/ neutral be single phase??..LOL just sayin…GR8 job on all of your vids that I have watched so far…you have great information for sure..A+ Service area Orleans??
thank god for playback speed
thank you … can you talk about 3 phase in dc motors
The bottom line is to know what your Source Voltage is. The quickest way to find that out is to look at the Disconnect Switch that should be installed nearby. If not a (DS), then there should be a Circuit Breaker in a Panel. A single pole and two pole breakers are considered Single Phase. And of course, a three pole breaker would obviously be 3-Phase.
In terms of Single Phase vs. Three Phase…….3-Phase offers 173% more power. Kind of like the difference between a 4 Cylinder Engine and a V8 Engine.
120 degrees out of phase not 90.. just saying.
I'm still relatively new in the trade but I have applied myself to learn everything I can every single day. My field is residential, but one day I hope to transition into the commercial side and maybe the refrigeration side😌🤓🤔🤔
ur mic compression makes you sound like in da face. Are you in Kanata ?
Thanks for the great information !
Thanks
One of the most important issues in the field of refrigeration is to be able to detect the status of a compressor And thus also determine what the rules are for the terminals in a conventional system, thanks for the contribution, today's lesson is very good
Any favorite phase rotation testers?
