Hey Pool Owners Here are three things that will keep your chlorine levels from fluctuating. Number one: keep your cyanaric acid levels between 30 and 50 parts per million. If these are too low, your chlorine will get destroyed by the Sun and too high your chlorine won't sanitize as well. Number two: Shop your pool weekly.
Adding an oxidizer or non-chlorine shock to your water each week will help refresh your chlorine. That'll keep it working in your water longer. Number three: Keep your water circulating. If your water isn't circulating, your chlorine can build up pockets in your pool water, especially if you're using chlorine tablets.
So angle your return Jets at a 45 degree angle and keep your pump and filter running enough. Follow us at Swim University for more pool care tips throughout the year.
does this hold true for SALT POOLS? Service area Orleans??
chlorine tablets or liquid chlorine?
Good stuff ๐ also how much circulation? Well I always tell people to follow this rule 1hr per 10 degree fahrenheit out, expl; 100ยฐ= 10hrs ๐ per day Are you in Barrhaven ?
Yeah, chlorine-free oxidizer is always touted as a way to carry some of the load for the chlorine. However, it messes up my combined chlorine test results, and I can never get anyone to tell me how much less chlorine I will need because I'm using the chlorine-free oxidizer. That's why I avoid it.
I love your video platform. I don't need info anywhere else!
What is an example of an oxidizer?

how many hrs a day should I be running my pump. my cost of electricity almost triples after 2pm
Where do I begin?๐ข๐ข๐ข
Angle the return jets at 45deg downwards? I currently have them upwards at approx 45deg. This way it flushes all the leafs etc to the skimmer.
