Here are three things you must add before closing your pool: Number one: Balancing chemicals make sure that your levels like pH and alkalinity are balanced before closing. Number two: Fast dissolving shock. This helps keep your chlorine levels High when your pool is covered and it'll kill any lingering contaminant. You can use liquid chlorine, bleach, or dor shock and number three: Polyquat algicide.
