Accurate – make connections, than apply. NOT GOOPING IT ON. perfect.

Bryan, slightly different, we had a LOW TEMP system where frost would cover the compressor terminals, NO FLOODING GE made a special dielectric grease b, very thick hair drier, clean, then smear all over , so terminals were ok now . I believe I have a tube somewhere still. Cheers 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I wouldn't recommend twisting the rest of the wire by using the cap. If your not using orange and blues grab the wire and twist the rest of it together.

Great tips! I am the same way..felt like I was watching myself wire it up. On Trane/AS equipment, I always route the low voltage up into the service panel because I tend to see alot of low voltage rubbing against the copper. Good video!

WTF are those Klien wire strippers? It has a bigger head more similar to linesmans. I’m going to buy those in the future when the really good Klien strippers I have similar to those wear out.

As an aircraft mechanic, we do this any time a connection is not sealed or inside. These small extra steps are key for long term reliability!

The reason both Trane and Carrier do what they do for wire position is to , per code, keep low and line voltage separate.
Is it stupid to have such a limited area for Carrier, HELL YES!!!!!
Is it moronic for Trane to do what they do, HELL YES!!!!!!!!!
Once it leaves the factory, mfrs don't care.

I have used dielectric grease on outside connectors also on aircraft and it works well.
I found electrical tape hold moisture so I avoid it all together. Service area Nepean??
