All right so today we're out on it running a couple service calls and we're using the new venom packs from the procreation technology that the bunch of them four different flavors of venom packs. So men are doing a maintenance and try out these new Viper packs from origination technologies. You see this small pack here and you think well, that's might be flimsy, but these things do not wait. We've tested these things.
I've thrown around to the back of my van and they are really really sturdy. Let's go over the four different products that you understand. What on what they do? We have the condenser cleaner, which is similar to the kind of the traditional Viper HD. Again, it's more concentrated, it makes up to eight gallons of standard, and you have the evap plus is similar to the or the evaporator cleaner, similar to Eva plus.
It's got the design cleaner in there it's right, all of them are rated for. You surround food up. So you don't want to get them in food, and then we also have the brightener condenser coil cleaner. Like I already mentioned, and then a new addition, which is a nice product, is the all-purpose, cleaner and that would be more for just general cleaning up anything.
It's all-around, useful, stuff, make six gallons, eight gallons, nine gallons and then nine gallons. The brightener would be a more aggressive, alkaline type cleaner for really foaming coils that need to get. You need to get really clean, maybe cleaning a really dirty floor wheel or something when you're cleaning it outside. So if you were gon na, do it in order of how strong it is, you would start with the whole purpose and evaporator are both very mild cleaners.
And then you go up to your condenser coil and then your more extreme alkaline cleaner would be the brightener. But today I'm going to use the evaporator cleaner in order to just remove a little bit off of an evap coil that I can get to, and so the first thing is to look at the cleaning duty. It would make nine full gallons per bag. At this light duty sort of setup - and so I just have to look at what my dilution ratio is going to be in order to make one gallon four liters, I would use half a cup so here I've got 32 ounces.
So this is a quarter of again right quarter of a gallon 32 ounces quarter of a gallon, so normally this would be for light duty, cleaning use, half a cup, so all we really need is an eighth of a cup, so I'm not gon na. Actually, you know like a lot of you in the field. I'm not gon na overdo this, because anywhere in here is kind of a fine range anywhere from one cup to half a cup, so anywhere from quarter cup to an eighth cup would be ideal for this. So I'm just gon na fill it up to about there call that good and then fill the rest with water all right.
So, actually, a better way to do this in this case, is gon na be to put the water in first, so it doesn't foam all over and the rinse out, whatever little residual was in there before we're just using regular Yvette plus, and this before again always Make sure not to mix chemicals almost all the way anchors again only 1/8. The cup is all we need in this. In a quarter of a cup and again you can. You can use a small measuring cup, little plastic measuring cup if you wanted, but just so long as you don't overdo it good. One thing I really love about this is the spouts such an easy pour, and so you can get it into bottles like this really easily, and now I've got plenty later. You see how nice. That is how much easier that is to pour in to a regular spray bottle. It makes smaller spray bottles a lot more viable for a lot of the cleaners, especially the multi surface, cleaner and the evaporator cleaner.
So there we go really nice thing about the evaporator cleaner from refrigeration technologies in the vent act is that it's so safe to use and it's okay to leave some on the evaporator floats safe to have in the Airstream state that sinks to have our own food. It's not going to hurt anybody, it's not gon na hurt. The technician is not going to hurt the customer and it's gon na work on those live organisms with the enzymes present in the cleaners, with the concentrate. It's really nice because it gets get it into the bottle, a lot easier.
You don't have to carry around jokes and jugs evaporate. We just generally mixed one to one that makes a nice on an unrelated note. This is interesting. They added a pump here and you can see they are pumping it up into this drain because when they installed this new unit not like do they sell unit.
That was too large, but it dropped down further, so they had to pump it up into the drain. But then, when they did, the trap invent they set this up as a clean-out, which this should be event higher than the drain level. So this should be event you know up to here. The problem is, is that then that would be in front of the filter.
So there's some things you know the clean-out should be here for the and then there needs to be a vent, that's taller, so this needs to be redone. Another good use for the viper venom pack evaporator cleaner, is cleaning out the inside of condensate box, because that's one other thing this is very crazy. Is when people don't cleaning condensate pumps well, including the impeller, and the nice thing about the evaporator cleaner from refrigeration technologies? Is that it's not corrosive? It's not gon na hurt anything. There do a lot of the products, the heavily alkaline or heaven forbid, the acidic products that can damage.
You still don't want to get it all into the electronics and every language like you wouldn't want to regular water, but getting that all kind of sprayed down - and you know the gunk out - is always a good idea. All right. So today, we're out on a running a couple service calls and we're using the new venom packs from the Federation technology, there's a bunch of them or different flavors of venom, packs from refrigeration technologies and a lot of things to love about them. The spouts are so much smaller fulfilling and these things are really concentrated. So you get a lot more from the space that these things take up and your van we were thinking about vans, storage and cleaning. It makes a big difference to be able to use a lot less space. You don't want to send gallons and gallons of cleaners out into the field. Keep it small, keep the compact, especially with today's smaller vehicles, where we're concerned about fuel mileage and we're trying to fit a lot onto our service vans.
These things are incredibly rugged. That's it for today, Ben impacts from refrigeration technologies, finally make sure local supply. Now, for as they don't stop them yet just come to start hearing them.
Is it cool to just let this stuff go down the evaporator drain line when doing a evaporator coil cleaning on the idu
I have tried condenser cleaner (yellow pack) but It doesn’t foam like nu-brite. I m not sure if it s working or not.
Finally I've find distributor in Europe. I know Nu-Calgon stuff very well. We'll give a try to Refrigeration Technologies. These pack format looks great 🤔 Are you in Ottawa ?
Can you refill them if you don't use all the cleaner?
Where we can collect it ?
My local trane parts house texted me yesterday showing they got all this stuff in. I’ll probably pick up the all purpose cleaner and the condenser cleaner. I like how this stuff ain’t to harsh compared to yellow death
Need to get the nickel safe ice machine cleaner…. had an order from TruTech refused to ship because they could only sell a case of four gallons
Hey Brian, about 40 years ago we had a bunch of Day & Night evaporator coils that were having blow-by from the coil. After some research we discovered that the coils aluminum fins were not manufactured correctly, bad batch if you know what I mean. Long story short, the solution was just that, a solution of dishwasher detergent of 2 to 1 sprayed on the coil. The detergent etched the fins on the coils, which resulted in the condensate water staying on the fins, thus making it in the pan and not the plenums. I wouldn't recommend that you use this method as it isn't too good for the coils, but when in a pinch.
Looks like some great products, love that you test them yourself, we will have to give them a try.
Can' wait to get some. gotta use up my gallon jugs first. Service area Nepean??
Got the multi purpose cleaner and am loving it so far
Suupper pack!
Really!
Great product Are you in Barrhaven ?
Would you use this product for condenser coils that are painted? I had a 5 ton Bryant that was 4 years old and used the competitors brand Nu Calgon and it took off some of the some paint off the condenser, it looked worst after cleaning the unit than it did before I cleaned it. I had this question to be asked on HVAC Shop talk to the owner of Refrigeration Technologies, he says it depends on the quality of the paint being used by the manufacturer. I asked this question with my Carrier Enterprise Distributor, I was told they do not test their units with 3rd party chemicals of any brand, so the outcome of using any coil cleaning solution is solely my responsibility. I just would like to know if you have had any issues or suggestions for open grill painted condensers coils
Probably should be careful telling people these are three "different flavors" these days lol
excelente packs, good job ¡¡¡¡¡saludos desde argentina
What’s the science behind the vent needing to be higher than the trap?…
