All right you're about to do a maintenance and just seeing what the last issues were looks like they had watered link it on their ductless, so we'll be sure to check on that, while we're doing the maintenance, let's go see how this alright. So the system just picked on I'm gon na go ahead and look at the filter media filters me asked me to bring some extra, so I'm just gon na check this one. It's decent, not the best but I'll, see what he wants to do and leave the decision up to him. We'll go check and see you that the outside unit came on, make sure that's working properly and then start on the cleaning all right.
So everything appears to be running. I can tell the compressor is running temperature differential on the lines we'll end up, checking the pressures and everything after I get it all cleaned up, but we're gon na go ahead and disconnect it and look at the wire size make sure the wires are tight and Everything 14 and it's like six, hey, alright, so we're gon na take the top off. Take the panel off remove the fan, put it over to the side and then clean out the bottom of the condenser check, all the wires make sure nothing is rubbing make sure none of the capillary tubes are rubbing on each other, make sure there's no other problems. Last thing we're gon na do is make sure we didn't leave any tools and pick up the drop cloths make sure all the screws are in breakers are on test the system back on.
So no that's good yeah go check the outside unit. All right connects back in no tools left around.
So y’all’s maintenance consists of just cleaning and checking pressures? No amp draws on compressor? Or any electrical readings for that matter. Also , why would you check pressures right after washing coil? Pressures, as well as Subcool and superheat will not be accurate with a wet coil
Thank you for making this video, it helped me to understand what takes place when we pay to have an annual service of our heat pump and air handler. The camera angles and tempo of the video were detailed and done very well. Keep up the great work!
I mean OK seem like a bunch of unnecessary stuff little of a dog and pony show. But good shit maybe I just missed much . Plus I tear the units down . Give the customer what they paid for
Yeah – make sure those capillary tubes in the CU aren't rubbing on each other. They might get excited.
Dude. I'm sorry. Your soundtrack is most irritating sound I have ever heard. Add it to fast-forward…I think I'm gonna puke.
Didn't do system test under carrier checkout menu. Checked pressures with a wet condenser coil. And using hoses instead of probes.
The Outdoor unit disconnect is the worst… those handles break all the time 🤦♂️
Lose the ring kid, unless it's worth a finger
Isn’t that Bryan’s house??
My old company wanted quick PMs… if nothing to sell, get out…our averge hourly wage counted on fast PMs. Service area Orleans??
Didn't really teach us much just showed what you were doing. Well, this is helpful for some. I've been researching these tune ups and I'm quiet mechanically inclined. So I really didn't learn much from your Video, but still found it enjoyable.
Basically seen him clean and not do any readings of any sort pretty basic and really didn't do much besides look busy like wiping all in all just getting by
This is the obsessed garage house!!!!
AC tech here, not a single amp draw or voltage reading taken. . . And coil washed washed before taking pressures and SC and SH. . . 0_o
I guess I need to find another maint company. Very well done.
Very well done.Your customers are lucky to have you.
This is one of those $3500 pm's….
I'd love to see maintenance on an older unit. I've always liked the idea of making it look like a professional has been there though. Are you in Barrhaven ?
What was the reason for not installing the compressor blanket in the video?
Wow. That was a maintenance. That’s a good idea wiping the air handler insulation. It is always grubby. I’m gonna start doing that on my pm’s. I mean I have wipes em down but it’s always after it’s already grubby . Guess that is preventive maintenance if your doing it before it become a problem lol.
Now tell me he did all that for $79.95. Service area Ottawa??
Great maintenance practices but I didn't see the compressor blanket get reinstalled. Probably too many F bombs to edit after you realized it!
Very nice, thorough job. Checking those pressure s before the condenser wash?
May have been out of sequence….but checking pressures & SC/SH after washing coils isn’t going to give you accurate information unless you let that unit run a considerable amount of time to dry the coil.
I wonder how long this PM took
what is difference between Heat pump and condenser unit ? Are you in Kanata ?
With an infinity I always test the system through the service menu to check different stages faster. I saw he only bumped the temp down.
Do you guys ever remove the condenser grilles to get the grass clippings out (between the coil and grille)? We used to clean our condenser coils without completely disassembling the unit. Realized the large clumps of clippings don't come out by just spraying from the inside out. Now we painstakingly tear them down to nothing but the coil. You'll be surprised how much stuff gets built up in just a years time. Are you in Ottawa ?
Heat pump should be on stands
Wondering what kind of cleaner you use for the drain line I couldn’t get a good look from video. I’ve been trying different ones since I’m new (only 1 year) but haven’t had time to do a real time test with anything.
Obsessed Garage.. could tell from the entry door, confirmed with the first carrier. Nice music.. the variations are good
This has got to be your son he sounds the same as you
This maybe a stupid question, but ill ask anyways. In a heat pump should the liquid be insulated as well? If so why? Reason i ask is becuase i came across a heat pump unit with the LL insulated.
Br’y’an, what kind of time do you guys set aside for maintenance? Great video btw
What should a tune up/maintenance this thorough cost?
Viewers: How many residential companies do a similar service? I would love if "insert big box name here" paid to PM 52 rooftops like this. Be like 12-15 days per site. Instead they ask for a 16 man hour PM. Now it just a survey. Service area Nepean??
Talk about thorough. Great job!!
