Thank you: hey guys, joshua griffin here serving the middle peninsula and the northern neck of virginia, and i wanted to do a video that is different than anything i've done before because uh, you know a few months ago, i got started uh with one of those. You know there's all kinds of them out there, but one of those monthly subscription services and every month they send you something - and i've came across this one and i thought it was really cool and so far it's been interesting. Uh, i'm actually on my third month.

The first two months i got england or uk and uh - you know i'm in usa, so some of the stuff was interesting. Uh there was like pickled flavored chips in there, which was, i thought, was odd um. It was interesting and then the second month i got netherlands, which was also interesting uh. You know some of the flavors were familiar to me uh, but some of the flavors weren't.

They had these really hard licorice things in there and just stuff like that stuff that i wouldn't normally buy even here in the us um so but other than that they've had some really cool stuff in there and i'm just enjoying it. You know that you can get a fairly inexpensive box scent and you know i don't have a big family or anything so i just get. I think this is the um, the second from the bottom box. I don't remember what i paid per month.

I think it's like 20 or 30 bucks, but uh. You know it's pretty cool, so i got this one. I've seen other videos where folks, you know unwrap their their box and taste things, and i said i'm gon na do one too. I think they're interesting.

It's interesting seeing folks's, you know what they have to say about it or what they think and uh some of them are pretty funny. Actually, so, let's see i i haven't even opened this uh. I did cut the the tape and you know, let's see what we got in here - uh because it could be from anywhere. So, let's see, okay, this box apparently is not a country it's well.

I don't know what it is. It says road trip, so there's there. Each box comes with a little pamphlet. Some of them are pretty cool.

I love history. I love geography, i love all that kind of stuff and so they're always uh. You know putting little fun facts in there about the different places, so this one's called road trip. So i guess this is going to be parts of the us and different things you can get.

You know across the u.s, so i guess there's probably things that here in virginia uh, you know i can't get so they've listed a whole bunch of different states there and let's see what we can. You know they also send you a little uh. You know a little pamphlet, that kind of tells you what you're eating, which is actually pretty helpful, especially you know some of these things. It's not in our language.

You know now this probably all will be, but when i got the box from netherlands, there was a couple things in there that i didn't understand the language on there and i'm sure that's probably amplified with certain other countries. You know when, when they have nothing similar and they don't put anything in your language on the box uh, you know uh. Let's see they also put a little recipe there. This one's main lobster rolls so hopefully you can see that um but yeah.

So, let's go through this pretty cool: they put a route 66 sticker on there, so that's kind of cool. Let's see what we have. This is pretty funny because being from virginia and living in virginia, this is uh. You know not like i've.

Never seen these before this isn't something that i would normally eat. You know uh as far as you know, potato chips. I i you know, i'm weird, i i you know the baked lays you know barbecue. If i eat potato chips, i'm not a big potato guy.

To be honest with you, i don't eat french fries at restaurants. Very often they have to be really good french, fries and uh. So some places i will but most places i don't and uh. But you know so that's that's funny that that's the first thing that i come across being that the other part.

The other thing is yeah. I live in virginia, but i also live on the coastal part of virginia uh. You know near the chesapeake bay, so chesapeake crab route 11 chip uh. Just for just for this video, i'm gon na go ahead and open this and give them a taste, not bad.

They have old bay seasoning on them. Have you ever had old bay? It's usually sprinkled on and in our area, it's sprinkled on seafood, crabs, things like that shrimp, steamed shrimp and sometimes some restaurants. We go to they'll sprinkle it on other things too, like french fries, so they're pretty good. If you like old bay, they're really good because they taste just like old bay all right next, we have better made special barbecue chips and i can honestly say in virginia.

I have never seen this brand i've seen barbecue chips before, but i've never seen better made special. So, let's give them a try. They taste just like barbecue chips, pretty good. I, like barbecue chips.

Uh, let's see these are it says these are from michigan and are more than just your average barbecue chip michiganders insisted they be included interesting they're more than your average barbecue chip, i'm making a mess. Cassie approves. Okay. The plan that i signed up for also comes with a drink um, so some of these drinks that i've gotten from some of the other countries are very interesting.

This one look, it's called ale-81, so i'm assuming this is probably some sort of ginger ale, but i could be wrong. Let's see it does have ginger in it. So this is probably some sort of ginger ale and i'm gon na taste it because it says it's from winchester kentucky. This zesty soda from kentucky is a great thirst, quencher or maybe a chaser.

So i'm going to go ahead and try this, because, if you're not familiar with virginia or at least the part of virginia that i live, we have our own local ginger ale. That, i think, is pretty good. I'm not even a huge ginger ale guy, but sometimes like we'll go on vacation to other places, and you know i'll ask for a ginger ale and i i maybe i'm biased, but i will say northern neck usually has better ginger ale than you know. Some of these bigger companies versions - you know, i don't want to say any brands, but uh you know.

So i'm going to compare this so kentucky folks if you're watching this don't be mad. If i don't like your ginger ale, it's not bad. It's not as good as northern neck, ginger ale. Of course i would say that, but uh it's a little less carbonated than the average soda, which i actually don't mind uh.

I i'm not a big fan of really fizzy sodas. In fact, sometimes it even burns my throat, i'm kind of a um, but you know it's got a good taste. It's got real sugar in it. It looks like and it's a sugar and corn sweetener.

So i don't know what the to say about that, because i normally um you know i normally won't drink or consume anything that has any sort of corn syrup or anything like that, and if i can help it um the barbecue sauce that i get for our Refrigerator at home, things like that so anyway, if you guys are still watching we're not doing a heating and air video today we're just doing a a snack, crate video and this one is called road trip, so very, very interesting. So far, road trip road trip across the us and if you were to stop places, i guess along your trip. You would see some of these things next in our box, it has no labeling. It looks like some sort of a maybe like a little debbie snack cake, moon pie, type of deal uh and i'm looking on our let's see.

So, according to my little pamphlet, this is called a joey's black and white. These soft and fluffy cookies from new york will put you in the empire state of mind, separate the sides and or eat them as one it's all up to you. So i'm assuming that each side probably tastes differently. Let's try it i'm gon na.

Actually, i'm gon na try to bite it right there, so i get a little bit of both pretty good. I have to say this has been my favorite box so far, maybe because i'm from the u.s - and these are all familiar flavors, that was that was one of the things and you know i think that's to be expected if you're eating things from other parts of The world you know they're used to different flavors, i guess than we are and uh i actually enjoy watching youtube. Videos of people from other countries tasting our stuff. You know united states snacks, so shout out to you guys.

Next we have aunt sally's creole pralines, interesting. Let's look on our little sheet for the info on this. This is, it says these treats from louisiana are a stretchy cluster of buttery, caramel and crunchy pecans, don't forget to bring a toothpick. I am actually allergic to nuts and i thought i told snake snack crate that, but i'm not like deathly allergic.

It just makes my mouth itch. Sometimes my wife always hates it. When i ignore my allergy and still eat stuff, she's, like you know they it could be horrible but uh. I am going to try this and see what it tastes like.

No i'm just kidding it's not bad um. I would um it's. It's got different layers of flavoring, which is which is cool, uh, there's, definitely a a caramel taste in there. You taste the pecans or pecans.

If i'm not saying it the way, you say it uh, but you can taste those and uh, but it's good. I i i approve so so far so good i uh i i can honestly say that some of the boxes, i haven't loved everything in the box um, but you know again, i i think that's to be expected. I think the pickle flavored chips from the uk weren't really my thing and then those hard licorice things from netherlands, i'm still eating some of these chips. Next, we have is called marsha's buckeyes, marsha's buckeyes.

The paper says they might literally resemble a buck buck's eye, but these chocolatey peanut butter, balls from ohio are so creamy. They melt in your mouth, so we'll try. One of these ohio is not far from us, but i have never seen one of these again not supposed to be eating. Peanut butter, don't tell my wife.

Some people are allergic to either tree nuts or peanuts wow. Anyway, i had some blood work done a few years ago and they said i was allergic to both lucky me, but i'm not like um deathly allergic like, like, i said, um, pretty good, they're very rich. They remind me a little bit of like a p, a peanut butter cup, but a little more of a rich taste sticks with you a little bit more and that i don't mind next we have the idaho spud. I don't know what this is, but i assume it's probably from ohio.

I mean shoot idaho, sorry, idaho, let's see idaho spud. So this says the candy bar that put idaho on the map. That's a stretch, but the fluffy chocolaty flavor infused with coconut flakes is heavenly that does sound heavenly. I got ta say: oh wow, not what i was expecting.

So i just opened it and it's got coconut sprinkled all around the outside and that i don't mind wow. I, like that, it's it's different. It's got the same. Chocolaty coconut thing that a lot of other snacks have again.

It's called the idaho spud, but um. It's also got almost like a marshmallowy type of inside, but pretty good. I would eat one again. Let's see next, we have oh, i love a meat.

Stick we're gon na bring we're actually gon na. Come back to that because i love meat sticks. My wife will tell you uh. Let's see this is called cactus candy and, according to my little paper, it says it's small jelly gummies from arizona made from real prickly, pear, cactus, wow, they're, small tangy and sweet, which makes them the perfect snack on the go.

It's kind of small too so that there it would be. You know something you would say on the go. You know even more than say a small bag of chips. You know it's just something you cannot what i was expecting again.

So it's like a big clump, big square of candy feels a little bit of you, know gummy and it looks like it's got. You know sugar, sprinkled on the outside. Interesting, not bad, not my not my favorite, but not bad. It's interesting that it's got cactus in it.

Let's see next, we have they send you a ton of crap, i mean just for a low monthly fee. They send you get your money's worth. I feel like this is called tuna jerky shaking it down here: tuna jerky. That is hilarious.

To me i got ta, be honest tuna jerky, and this is from hawaii and it says hawaii tuna tuna jerky is a traditional hawaiian snack. It has a zesty, salty flavor, making it a great fuel up, bite interesting, it's actually a little sticky. I just tore off a little piece of the meat wow lemon salt flavored, not what i was expecting. It actually has a really good taste and you um.

You do taste the tuna on the back end, but i would say at first i tasted the lemon lemony um flavor almost reminds me of like um. You know like lemon pepper seasoning, like you know that people will sprinkle on stuff that i would eat again. So go hawaii! Well, uh. We've only got a few left, so you know bear with me if you're still watching this next we have abba zaba abba, zaba, abba, zaba and uh.

Hopefully i'm saying that correctly and let's see i'm not seeing that on my sheet. So far there it is, it says: salty peanut butter coated inside a thick layer of chewy sweet taffy. The perfect flavor balance exists. Thank you, california, so this is from california.

My wife and i visited california last year before the covet hit and uh had a really good time. We we went to uh hollywood and we we we, we probably splurged a little bit uh. You know we took the the money that we would have normally spent on a week-long vacation somewhere else uh. We took and just spent a few days there.

So we stayed in a really nice. The beverly wilshire hotel and just really uh really had a good time right there on rodeo drive. My wife is all about that kind of stuff, but anyway, so this uh. This is not what i was expecting yet again.

Uh see, that's got the taffy here and i guess maybe the peanut butter might be on the inside the way it was described by the label. Chewy taffy peanut butter center, not my favorite! I ain't gon na lie. The peanut butter is good taffy. I don't know.

I guess i'm used to you know when you go when we go on vacation, sometimes if we go to like the outer banks of north carolina and you get the salt, water, taffy or stuff like that, this tastes. Nothing like that. Pretty good, though, would i eat it again? I wouldn't um, i wouldn't be mad, but i wouldn't. This is not what i would pick out.

I don't think i'd pick out the tuna off the shelf and buy that and eat that before i would eat this. I'm weird, though, two more things, i believe so, hopefully i don't hold you up too much longer gugu gugu cluster, and this is ooey gooey candy clusters from tennessee filled with caramel, peanuts and marshmallow and coated in chocolate. Again, don't tell my wife: it's got peanuts in it kendall. If you see this video, i didn't i didn't inhale.

I mean i didn't consume all right: goo goo cluster, so this is from tennessee interesting. The label says peanut caramel and marshmallow nougat covered in milk. Chocolate. Not too bad, not my uh, you know definitely not the best thing.

I've ever eaten or anything, but i would probably eat one of these again. It um. It honestly reminds me: let me pull it back out here, so you can see it. It almost reminds me of something honestly that uh, i would see it like a bake sale.

You know you go to like a bake sale like a, i don't know like at a church or something somebody's got stuff they've made from home. Sorry, it's stuck uh to my teeth, i'm sure you're, just loving sitting there, just watching me eat but again i'll say it again. This has been my favorite box that i've gotten, maybe that's what i should tell them. I just want just send me snacks from other parts of the of my own country right.

No, i think it's cool tasting stuff. I can't wait to get one of the asian countries because i know that they eat stuff. That is way different from the stuff that we eat and uh. So i haven't gotten one of those again.

I got i basically i've gotten two european countries and now one from my own country, okay, last thing on the list: it's a meat stick which i love, meat sticks as long as they're good. This one is called elk jerky and it's made by pearson ranch, and it says on our sheet here: chewy and satisfying these elk jerky sticks from new mexico are packed with great flavor and protein, so shout out to new mexico - and i this is probably i saved This for last, because it's probably going to be my favorite thing out of the box - i'm guessing very good, very good meat stick. I would eat this again and um. It actually is is a it's a really good meat.

Stick! It's much cleaner tasting! There's no aftertaste! You know you just let's see if cassie approves cassie approves, let's see if boomer approves see, if you you guys, can't see boomer but we'll see if he can he'll eat one here, yep last but not least, we got buckaroo over here looks like buck, approves, which Honestly, that's uh, that's rare buck is very he's a very picky eater, so he didn't. He will not eat just anything anyway that uh that wraps up um this video and um. I think that uh, you know all in all. This has been my favorite box.

You know take that how you will i uh. I can't wait to see some of the other videos of folks in other countries. I wonder if they'll get the same road trip, u.s box and um, what their thoughts would be, especially on stuff like tuna jerky.
