Hey guys before we get to the video, please click that subscribe button, hey guys, joshua griffin here serving the middle peninsula and the northern neck of virginia, and we are now to the semi-finals of our tournament. Best hvac brand warranty out there. It's been kind of fun for me, so far a lot of the videos i do for you know folks trying to help them out. It's not really fun for me necessarily, but this has been kind of fun.

Just kind of checking out who's got the best warranty and you know doing a little tournament style to find out who our champion is going to be with the best hvac brand warranty out there. And so, if you haven't been keeping up, let's go through the ground rules, one more time, basically the ground. There goes one of my pups um. Basically, the rules are are like this.

We are only going by what is on their website for split uh systems, whether it be a furnace or air handler inside and whether it be a ac, condenser or heat pump unit outside, and so just a standard heat pump warranty and what is on their website. I know there's companies out there that offer, above and beyond what the manufacturer offers we're, not taking any of that into account we're only going by what's on their websites and what it is for. One of those split systems - not ductless units, not package units or anything like that. So that's the ground rules stay tuned, we're now to the semifinals.

Let me also say if you are in the market for a new heating and air system before you spend thousands check out my website newhvacguide.com, the link will be below welcome back guys. We are now to the semifinals, as i said before, and this has been pretty fun for me. Um yeah, i, like sports uh, you know enjoy the playoffs when a lot of the sports get there, and so this has been kind of fun. Doing like a little tournament for this, and as you can see, our tournament's been uh, you know been kind of you know.

There's been some surprises. I think i think there's been some landslide victories and some victories with the little margin. If you haven't been keeping up with our tournament, go back and watch some of the videos from the first round, but we are now to the semifinals and i think we've got four companies that most of them you you should have heard of before you know so. They're, it's four, i think good uh semi-finalists.

If we will so, let's go through it real quick in our first round we had carrier versus dyken with dyke and winning second round. We had linux versus mitsubishi with linux, winning third round we had nortec or nordon versus reem, with ream, making it to the semifinals and then. Finally, in the fourth round we had train versus york with york, pulling out the victory so congrats to those companies pulling out their victories. But here we are now to the semifinals, and you know i got ta say for this particular round with daikon versus linux.

This has been the easiest round so far for me to locate the company's warranties. I was able to just literally google uh, you know daikin hvac warranty and then linux hvac warranty and i was able to pull each of them up. So here they are, and so daikin is first, so we're going to go through them first. So this is again we're not talking about their ductless systems or package units or their sky air vrv life.
Any of that stuff. We're only talking about the the ones that are in this section right here, not the vrv life over here. So just the uh. You know the outdoor unitary trash can style units right here and then down here.

We've got the gas furnaces that we're going to compare warranties for in case you're, wondering we'll just go ahead and touch on it. This is their 12 year parts warranty on their air handlers and coils. So there's that so, let's focus on. As i said, the outdoor units here come with a it looks like they're higher in their dx or dz 20, all the way down to their dz 16s.

With the two-stage compressor come with a 12-year parts warranty and they also come with that 12-year unit replacement warranty. So if you were to have a major component failure such as a compressor they're, not just going to give you the part they're, not just going to give you the con, the compressor they're going to give you the entire unit for free um. So that's pretty above and beyond pretty cool um moving on we've got. You know just real quick, we'll just touch on the dx or dz 16 essays, the single stages down to the dz14s, those come with a six-year unit, replacement, warranty and 12-year parts warranty and then, of course, their value line.

The dz 14 sn's all the way down to the dx13s, we're looking at a two-year unit, replacement, warranty and like say, the 12-year parts warranty so pretty good warranties there, the furnaces looking at a 12 year parts warranty on the on the parts and with these higher End furnaces the dm 97 all the way down to the dc 80s. You know this is going to be our higher afu rating furnaces and also variable speed, stuff they're going to they have a 12-year unit replacement warranty as well as a lifetime heat exchanger warranty. So, across the board it looks like daikins offering that lifetime heat exchanger warranty all the way down to their lower models. If you will so it, you can see that right there.

Of course, these models have the six-year unit replacement warranty and they all have that 12-year parts. So how does that stack up with linux? Let's check out linux here and again, i it was really easy to pull up here, i'm not as familiar with the linux line. If you install linux - or you know more about it, feel free to comment, but it basically looks like they kind of break it up into a few different categories or they they call it a series, so they have their dave linux signature collection series here they have A different one, linux elite series and then they have a linux merit series which i assume is their builder grade. Maybe their budget friendly line to compete with some of those lower end systems, i'm not really sure.
So, honestly, i'm not even going to focus on the lower end stuff, because i don't think that that would uh be fair to even compare so if we're just comparing their higher end. What they're calling their signatures collection series up here looks like they've, got a 10-year parts and compressor warranty on the outdoor units and a 20-year or lifetime warranty on the heat exchangers. Still a pretty good warranty. I think for our tournament, though big surprise here, i think daikin is going to win this this round so congrats to them.

Two texas based manufacturers taking battle there and it and we're going to give dyke in the win with that 12-year unit replacement, as well as 12-year parts warranties on all of their systems, so congrats to them. On Dankins site their warranty show no labor , is that correct? cause no one will buy one when Panasonic or Fujitsu offers 10 yr labor?

Coleman has a lifetime warranty on their scroller compressor. I guess that doesn't fit your warranty video narrative. Bye the way I have Lennox.

Josh, thanks for a great HVAC INFO channel. Question, Iโ€™ve been looking at Amana thatโ€™s a Daikin product, from 16 SEER and up they offer a LIFETIME outdoor unit replacement which beats the DAIKIN. If I wanted that line, I would choose the Amana. Do you install South of Richmond, VA? Thanks Service area Nepean??

Curious. Does Daikin offer better incentives than other brands to sell Daikin I ask because several established HVAC professionals in my area have been promoting Daikin heavily . A few only want to sell Daikin and discourage other brands.
