Hey guys welcome to my channel. My name is Chris: I'm a service technician owner whatever you want to call me of a small refrigeration company here in Southern California, have a few employees that work for me. I specialize in restaurant refrigeration, work on refrigeration, air conditioning ice machines, exhaust fans, all that good stuff. The only thing I don't work on is the cooking equipment, the hot side equipment, the fryers.
The flat tops the ovens, the grills. I don't tend to get into that stuff, not because I can't, but just because I'm busy enough dealing with all the refrigeration, I started making these videos as a training method for the employees that work for me. Just you know, because not everybody can be with me at all times, and I tend to take the really difficult calls. So I figured hey: why not start video in these instead of telling the guys about them, I can show them what I find.
So that's why I started making these videos then I kind of figured hey. Let's make them public. Why not, if I'm trying to show my guy something I might as well try to show you guys something too. My way is not the only way.
I do not know everything. I have a very minimal amount of knowledge, I think, but I think I have a specialized amount of knowledge in this little sector of the industry that I work in, so I have a very methodical way of doing things. I realized that I'm a little and I'd even say, maybe a little ridiculous in the way that I do things, but I like to approach them a certain way. So that way I get good results out of it.
I tend to try to do my service work. The smartest way that I know possible to try to make my job go easier. I like to try to work smarter, not harder than is what I tend to say. Sometimes regardless, if you guys have questions, you know throw them in the comments section or if you go into the show notes and any one of my videos you'll see an email address in there.
It's HVAC our videos at gmail.com. Send me an email. If you got any questions or just throw them in the comments, I really appreciate, if you guys give me a thumbs up on my videos, if you're interested in any of my social media. It's also in the show notes of any one of my videos.
There's a Instagram, atwitter Facebook. I share the videos on all of them. There's also a patreon account. If you guys are wanting to support me, hey it's all appreciated whatever you guys can do if not no big deal.
I don't make these to make money. I'm just making the videos just because I want to help people also on a side note. I am always looking for employees whether they be experienced technicians or apprentices. If you guys like what you see, if you like the work that I do, if you, if you think you can work with me, hey, send me an email, I'd love to look over your resume I'd love to give you a shot anyways again.
My name is Chris and thank you guys very much for watching my videos.
You are my new hero!
Hi Chris – great channel – I am joining the trade and in school right now and just took my 608 (passed my 609 as a warm up). I am let just say older so I can afford nice tools and have many already – what would you recomend for probes – (I like the idea of probes instead of gauge sets to check systems). Here in Massachusetts once I pass my 608 I can work on 10 ton units or less until I finish a three year apprenticeship. Thanks again for a great channel and great videos
you are very very kind.god bless you!
Not sure why I find your channel so interesting, I do not have an interest in HVAC at all. Service area Ottawa??
Great Channel Chris !! Keep up the good work!
I own a small company in Kansas. I though about the axact same. I wish I could have them with me at all times for a year and they will know everything I know but as you know. That isn't a possibility. Great. Videos. You told them to watch your videos. I appreciate you taking so much time out of your day. Service area Orleans??
You got my sub – Totally miss refrigeration! The funny thing is everything you are working on look so similar it's like deja-vu! My worst job: A Walmart at 3 am MT case down turned out to be a CO2 rack system low in CO2 and glycol pouring out from under the rack-house door. ALL the cases went into alarm… That will sharpen your critical thinking skills! Great job!
Great introductory video my man. Too bad you live on the other side of the country, LOL, However I'm really happy with my company but it looks like you got a really good thing going there. If I can just figure out how to get my subscriber count up I'll have it made LOL. Maybe the Facebook thing would help? Little Leary to share it on the forums because of all the haters.
Watched several of your videos, you know more then 95% of the guys out there. Would love to escape the frozen north sometime.
Very good intro! I would love to work for you, but me being in Florida and you being in California, and my dad being an a/c business owner, ive got my work cut out for me. plus, Im only 14 yrs old🤣

👍
👍👍👍
great job chris!!! like the videos
Great intro Chris. It’s all about sharing the knowledge. I too, do it to share some knowledge and real life experiences with a younger cousin, who is currently attending Brownson Technical Insitute to get his HVAC Certs. It’s hard for me to articulate a lot of the stuff I run into, as I have always considered myself shy and would have never posted a video of me doing anything. Trying to help my cousin has also helped me to be myself and just do it. Like you said, we don’t all know everything so what’s to lose. We are all learning everyday. The important thing is applying ourselves. Once again, thanks Chris. Keep the great videos coming! 👍🏽🤙🏽 Are you in Barrhaven ?
Great introduction Chris . I believe that is one of the reason why some of us make some videos , simply to share some knowledge. Unfortunately some of us don’t the amount of time to shoot videos, because we work for someone. You doing it man . Like your videos 👍🏼

I’ve really been enjoying your channel every since I discovered it.
Very top notch work, I work for a commercial contractor in Birmingham
Alabama and have been in the service business for over ten years.
We service anything in a restaurant, we do have dedicated electricians and plumbers.
However I prefer refrigeration and HVAC , don’t like the hot side stuff but i do it.
If i lived in Southern California you would already have my resume.
Keep up the excellent videos and thinks for sharing your knowledge, this industry needs people like you to help mentor young technicians.
Really enjoy your channel.
I'm following you from New York
I have 5 years experience
I'm heading to California right now to work for you LOL
Nice intro! when did you get into hvac/r and how did you get into it any formal schooling? and are you hiring hands with no experience
I have 12 years of experience in hvac&r but 9years in facility maintenence. If you were in Texas you would have my application already on your desk. Great channel! Are you in Kanata ?
