Hey guys, i want to do a video i've been doing this for a little while now and sometime in my career, i remember early on when indoor air quality products first started coming out. There was this almost like this idea of this. Was you know this is snake oil? This is just these are just products to sell and are they really helping anything? You know sort of deal, and you know if you found this video before you before you click off of it before you go elsewhere. Let me just get on my soapbox for just one moment, because now that i've been doing this a while now that we've, you know, we've we've seen indoor air quality products.
Not only have they been out for a while they've gotten better and new things have come out, and you know they've had time to, you know, do different tests and to just see how things are going, and especially in today's climate, with the coronavirus and just all These different things that people are worried about. I talk to customers sometimes and that you know they say you know. What are we really talking about now? I think if i were to talk to you like, if you were to catch this video and you're a homeowner, if i was to just talk to you for just a moment, i i think the thing and again i'm not trying to sell you anything here. I'm just you know just throwing this out there, and i think the thing that i would say to you is if, if you're seeing this, if you have a family, i think it would be safe to say that you would want your home to be the place That either, when your family comes into your house, either their health gets better or at least stays the same right.
You don't want your house to be the reason that someone were to get sick and i think you know it's been it's been proven. You know. Statistics have shown that a certain percentage of illnesses that we have today is based on the air we breathe. I mean that's just science right, you know, and i talk to other heating and air guys and you know.
Sometimes people are more gung-ho about indoor air quality than i am, and then i've talked to other guys that are not gung-ho at all about it. They, you know they. They think it's still snake oil right. If i were to you know just again, if i was talking to my own family or if i were to you, know to give you this call to action, this plea, if i will, i would just say you know, do some homework.
You know i'm not saying that your house, if you install a remy halo, is going to be this much better versus this much. If you don't install it right, i'm not saying that, but i think that there's enough data now there's enough statistics. There's enough information out there for you to be able to go on the internet and do some homework and decide. I i remember years ago, in fact one of my first youtube videos i remember doing a it was a uv light video and i was basically just showing how you know how it works and where, where we install it and things - and i remember on one of Those videos saying man i wish i would have got it before, because i'm looking at the after now and i wish i'd have got a before and at bare minimum. We started installing uv lights shining on our evaporator coils, with our premium installations at no extra charge. We started believing in them and that much so there's all kinds of things out there. Obviously there's air cleaners and there's filtration, there's ionizers, there's humidity control, there's all kinds of products out there and you know sometimes it could be a little overwhelming. But i thought at bare minimum i'm going to put a uv light on that evaporator coil and there's not going to be any mold being growing in that air handler.
I'm not going to let any mold grow on that evaporator coil or in the drain pan or on the side of the air handler wherever it could get. You know water or moisture. You know at bare minimum that so again, if you've caught this video, i don't have a three-step process. I've done other videos on upgrades that i believe every system should have.
You definitely check that video out and i'm going to do more videos just talking about certain products if you're interested. But again i just wanted to do that. Video just saying: look, you know if you're a homeowner. I think that you want to be the reason that your family either gets better or stays the same.
You certainly don't want to be the reason that they were to get sick right, and the last thing i'll say is if you're in the market, for a heating and air system and you're in the northern neck or middle peninsula of virginia we'd love to earn your Business give griffin air a call we'll give you a free estimate and the best warranty in the area and, if you're, not in our area, if you're somewhere else, you're not in our coverage area but you're in the market for a heating and air system before you Spend thousands check out my website, newhvacguide.com we've put so much information on there. I've got a whole page, just called no-no's, just things to stay away from things to avoid, and i think that you know before you spend thousands definitely check that out other than that hit. That subscribe button, thanks for watching you.

UV improving IAQ is a real thing. Has been for years. I never thought about residential application over an evaporator coil until you mentioned it. I am in the HVAC industry myself working on water based systems and keeping them clean & as close to design efficiency as possible. UV is one of the tools i have been using for years. Great video Brother. Gonna ask my Carrier dealer if he can install a UV light on the evaporator coil on the gas pack unit he installed 4 years ago. Are you in Ottawa ?
I've had a Honeywell F50 for 20 years and feel it's the best for static pressures, virus removal, dust down to 1 micron.
I try to ignore it but my wife calls me out.
