I wouldn't pay for it. Much easier to do in the business world to contest invoices and damaged goods then in the consumer world.

How about Trane goodman first company .. actually all Vtacs .. the coils are not hold under heat pressures on heat pumps ALSO LENNOX …so is life of a a/c tech..lol

Yeah this is one reason I've never changed an evap coil in a rooftop unit. Just have always condemned the unit, and change it out. An hour or two with a crane, yank the old unit off, set new in place wire it up and fire it off! Much much less labor and dragging stuff up to the roof. But the situation is probably bad today since new units are so backordered. But so are coils. Can't get new evaps for Hoshizaki either. Talked to a guy directly at Hoshizaki America midwest DC in Lewis Center, OH, guy said has some customers been waiting since April 2022 for either a new machine or evap plate assembly. Just freakin crazy.

Been installing and servicing residential for 10 years. I've never received a coil that didn't have pushed in coils. No matter how perfect the box was haha. I've also noticed a lot more weld repair spots on all day n night and Lennox coils. I give these coils 5-6 years max total junk.

Thatโ€™s how parts are coming nowadays. Had 2 trane heat exchangers craned on a roof and both had monster gaps in them. Took them right back to trane and they admitted to janky ass parts from the manufacturer

Ethier take it or wait 3 months for a new one
Its disappointing but with parts being so scarce what else can you do but just do the best with what you get now days with stock supplies

Isn't the fin defect more likely to be transport damage? Someone bashing into the packaging would leave a dent like that…

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars OddO says:

Not the least bit surprised. If you knew what I know about Carrier(and can't say) you'd never buy their products again. An extremely dishonest company. Service area Barrhaven??

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars doberfart says:

    Lol carrier for sure

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 7.4.1776 says:

    Carrier is over rated junk.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jesse Smith says:

We just dumped a pair of 120t 30RB that were installed in 2011. They went through 4 sets of coils in that time and each set had more of this than the last. Carrier quality on anything below industrial process machines is absolutely non-existent.

Donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever seen new coils from factory that didnโ€™t have pushed in fins or leak repairs done.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Space says:

Is it possible one of your guys might have done it and blamed it on the factory?

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chuck Smitley V says:

Thatโ€™s bs. Carried that all the way up just to have to take it back down and do it again with a better one. They owe you for labor

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bunda says:

I get the messed up fins all the time, a fin comb gets that. never seen a fix on a u bend yet though. I did have a micro channel condenser for a RTU that someone at a shipping company put a tag on with a staple that put a hole in the channel, luckily Im 21 and got good ears and heard it during vacuum. And I had a evaporator for those standing 1 door hoshizaki RIC that had 90 degree fins Are you in Nepean ?

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Deoran Ferguson says:

Dang that's more than a fault that factory damage Are you in Orleans ?

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mr Green says:

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Random user says:
