It's one of those nights it's raining outside. Had a failed pressure control I'm doing a quick repair for the night. Pulled a quick vacuum. We're going to come back and change the dryer I Don't want to open up the system any more than I had to because it's raining.
Luckily the factory has the factory charge written down. It's 14.4 pounds so just got to charge it up. But gotta love the rain, right? Refrigeration's got to get done! ASAP.

Is this a self contained unit seeing how the factory listed the charge ?
Otherwise how would they know the charge on a remote system without knowing the pipe length ?
We were talking coils the other day went to replace a coil on a Lennox package unit. Had three leaks on the elbows and damaged fins. The new coil also had two leaks. Really wish we didn't deal with Lennox.

I'm glad I don't work in the rain. I do residential refrigeration and appliances. Used to mechanic work on tractor trailers in the rain. Make your money.

I use to be a tec , I use to go out in any condition, thinking that the customer and or the owner would appreciate it. But found out that u or I were not indispensable and that neither the customer or the boss really care about u they just wanted thier unit fix and the boss just wanted to make money off of ur bones. And keep in good standing with customers. So now if they want me to work on any unit . it's under my conditions or just go and get some eager beaver that wants to resk thier longevity for penny's on the dollor. Service area Nepean??

I've had that happen to me with emergency chiller repairs. Failed exv, damaged vfd and leaking coils. Ugh and the deeper I got into work the harder the rain came. Down. I think my clothes got full wash cycles at least 6 times.
