Working up in an attic and I just look over and I'm like hey, someone just cut this right here and the trusses and I'm like wow, that's shaky and then look over here like they gotta. Oh yeah, they made the mistake and they're like oh no, just do that and then big old rat traps over there. But that's funny, huh? Yeah, let's just cut trusses so you know they're overrated, right?.
It's a good thing that they don't have to worry about snow load in Southern California ! ! !
The sad thing is last week my helper cut a rat run going across the truss and the local inspector red tagged the roof system….some parts are not structural and the engineer i hired to design the repair said the inspector was completely in the wrong. Waiting to hear back from the building department after the holiday
They don’t support anything clearly the design of those has 0 structural strength
I was in the attic of a recording studio in hollywood ca. They cut and welded three pieces of steel to make a pass thru if the steel struts part of the roof.
