Foreign Exhaust fan today and I Don't know what the company we got this fan from was thinking, but they put this curve adapter and we needed the inside piece so we had to go through and cut off all the welds around. Now we got to clean it up, but yeah, we didn't need this thing don't know what these guys are thinking. So we're going to do our best to clean it up so it's not sharp edges, but we pretty much tried to stay away from the fan as much as possible when we were cutting it.
I like doing stuff like that. Makes me feel like Tom Allen hime improvement lol
They were thinking "Let's get this ordered but not accepted fan out of our inventory".
A angle grinder should make short work if it.
I was checking off our control system on one of these the other day and it had been put together so shittlily that the fan was striking the metal piece that sits up inside it and keeps water out. We adjusted it and got it to spin free after about an hour, but when we spun it up after going to lunch it nearly tore itself off the roof!
once had a centrifugal fan mounted in a box enclosure no divider. Just a fan and motor spinning on a stand in the box. 0 CFM but balance report said 464. Screw holes for divider full of paint. Made a divider from ductboard and…WOW we got exhaust!
