Foreign. Got the spoiling catch-all in Sporland. See all now these are my favorite. This is the dryer.
This is the sight glass but I like the flare dryer and then the male female sight glass because I'm lazy most of the time the repairs that I make are down at the evaporator coils and we pump the system down. then I don't necessarily have to bring torches on the roof to change the dryer and you can see they look really good. They couple together really nice combination when you go with the catch-all and see all like I do okay and also there's always sizing information on the side of the boxes. Now this is keep in mind this is sizing after the fact.
Oems don't necessarily use this because this is basically for system cleanups, so keep that in mind.
I could of told you that it is lazy braze it in prevent future leaks Service area Orleans??

The best kind of lazy. Got out of the field 5 years ago for a management role and learned Excel formulas, now I build formulas that do half of my work for me. Same thought process – work smarter, not harder.

They leak. Maybe not for a couple years but they all leak. I never use flare filter dryers. I mean to each their own. But every one I’ve come across leaks. Every time I see one I yank them and braze in a new one. Service area Nepean??
I always like the sweat in type personally but they make a combo drier with sight glass already together. I used that one most.
We use the sporlan flare dryers all the time. Most of the systems we have use EZ clip hoses. Very rarely do we ever need to break out a torch
I don't like them because I see more leaks on these fittings. Do you use the copper fish eyes on the flare fittings?
I do a lot of rack work but when I do change one of those dryers (as opposed to replaceable core dryers) I often use flare dryers because as long as you make a good flare they don't leak and it is a lot less work to change. The most common place for me to use those is if a grocery case has a TXV without a removable screen, if the TXV has a removable screen the dryer usually gets deleted from the case because you don't need 2 filter dryers and a suction dryer so the only time I'll replace them in a case is if it is needed to protect the TXV from getting plugged up with crap.
Also you should mention-HH types and their respective properties.

I will usually sweat a dryer in, NEVER sweat one in if the dryer's restricted (because there is a decent chance I will be changing it again in the future)… JUST FOR THE LOVE OF GOD —- DO NOT PUT LEAK LOCK ON A FLARE FITTING!!!!!

If done right flare driers are as good as any. Spray your bubbles and no worries!! 🇦🇺
It's astonishing to me that all parts are not modular by this day and age.
Love sporlan driers, installed plenty. Never had a failure. Braze are much better than danfoss
