Do any of you have that one electrical room from hell? This is mine. It's uh, there was one time I kid you not I Came in here and they had like a bad connection at a bus bar and this panel right here was glowing Orange from behind it because the bus bar was overheating like it was some weird crap. But I mean look at how chaotic this thing is so out of code just stacking all their stuff in here. Fun stuff right? Electrical rooms.

I’ve seen buss clamps heat up and move off the buss causing single phase conditions to RTU’s. By the time I responded to the call it cooled off and power restored. Drove me nuts until i caught it. Are you in Nepean ?
Yep we walk away from those customers. They will be the first ones to blame the techs when it burns down. Fire marshals are always called, rather piss of a pos customer and save another techs life who is afraid to speak up. Sick and tired of these customers who endanger peoples lives
By Code, based on the gear in there, that room has to have two exits.
I work at at bowling center that’s been around since the 50s and over the years we have like over 40 electrical panels
Looks really would make you understand why there are tens of thousands of electrical fires all over the US on a daily basis or monthly the insurance companies have been glowing red

I'm a contractor and I do property management and I see this way too many times they use the electrical room as a storage room It is completely illegal but they do it
I've told COUNTLESS people that you can't use a plant room for storing random crap. It's a fire hazards and if the fire brigade were to go in there to isolate, then they'd soon chuck everything out and made sure they broke everything in the process.

Their staff electrician has to be a grizzled old man who wets his fingers and grabs wires to see if they're live and can often be heard saying "quit being a pussy" to helpers.
Don’t tolerate people using an electrical room as storage. Put your foot down and draw a line in the sand on this.

Not sure if you guys have this in the US, but in the UK we can issues a danger notice to the owner, detailing all problem and what needs to be done, they are really useful, because if something should go wrong with it, you are in the clear,
