Frustrating when another vendor doesn’t show up …
Had a scheduled meet up with the fire alarm company. Confirmed from multiple people we went through the proper channels. Uh, nobody showed up today. They were supposed to be here at 8:00 a.m.
it's 9:15 a.m. now I Called dispatch for the alarm company and they're like we see the conversation but nobody assigned this service call to a technician so there's not going to be a technician showing up today. That sucks because and you know I know life happens and stuff but that sucks because I've been working on this job, relocating duct detectors up to the package units, rewiring everything for like 3 days now. It's a big process you know.
got it all finished up and all I need to do is meet up with the alarm company so they can land their alarm wires and my new duct detectors. Put the end theine resistors in there and you know trigger the system to make sure everything works properly and I can't finish it.
At least you get to bill them or someone
charge the alarm company for your losses, as they prevent you to complete the job and get paid. full sum and psychologies damages too. Are you in Orleans ?

Charge the restaurant a $1,000 "bullshit" fee. When they call asking what the hell, tell them "you're right, it is a lot. Why don't you call the alarm company and tell them to stop screwing up". Then I'd probably waive the fee.
