Right, so something I want to show you just in the process of rewiring up this capacitor doing some of my testing. I want to show you something that we run into a lot, and this is a loose terminal, see how I can just put set on - and this is a huge cause of capacitor failure - is loose. Connections is when that connection is loose and not making good contact. It starts to get hot and then it can melt off.

So all we do in order to tighten it up. Is we just take these spades? We just squeeze them just ever so slightly just ever ever so slightly. I like the way. I said that it's kind of silly something and that way it's on there, it's nice and snug, and now that's it.

That's a good connection. Now one thing to note here this particular capacitor: you can see how the terminals are rusting the am rad turbo, 200 or really any of the em rad capacitors. They are brass terminals and they will not rust like this, because underneath the plating they're made of brass and of course, press doesn't rust anyway, just make sure you get your terminals tight. It's really important.

Good to know about amrad. Always believed they were the best now I know why.
Also explained why the 2 rheems from 1999 I saw today had perfectly non rusted amrad caps on them, and all the ge and mars caps do.
