What I have here is an interior closet. We got stuff growing our joints connecting to this system. It's actually worse up here on the floor piece. I went up here and if you look at how they did this, you can see when they installed the unit.
You have your ductwork coming out of the attic and then this gap right here. It's just tape and then solid. Don't worry, you have a good four inches just tape and it's a ring all the way around that will get really cold and cold enough. That any moisture in here it's gon na condensate on that surface, any dust it's gon na hit that and you're gon na start growing.
So it's a clothes closet where that moisture and dust is coming from. We need to be found as well Matt right here straight up into the attic behind both of these. We got warm dusty human attic, air, meaning a really cold surface and condensation and growth. So the solution is going to be to replace this four piece of here and then seal off any any gap to the attic.
Install an air scrubber along with all that. Need to make sure we neutralize those left over spores Are you in Nepean ?

Another quality hack job lol
Sounds expensive. Can't I just re paint it?
Cut a little supply into the closet too. Keep it under positive pressure will keep that unit looking good
I like simple.
Wow it's amazing how a mistake in installation can cause such a bad problem like that. To think those customers were breathing that crud. I'm sure they were happy you were there. This would be a good one to show our apprentices and technicians.
