You guys gotta check this out! I Picked these up from Truetechtools.com Bought them with my own money, not sponsored. Nobody gave me anything for these. Okay, they're Appian High flow Schrader Depressor Tools vacuum rated down to 20 microns You guys need to check these out. Um I personally have not used them yet I Just opened them up but I'm very excited about them because of the vacuum rating.
Look at this. they depress the Schrader for you. Okay now I know your opinions about High Flow Schraders, Cormax fittings. but regardless, they're on our system.
So when we're doing work and we need to pull an evacuation, you can't pull the Schrader out like you would with a normal Schrader remover Okay, this now gives us the ability to vacuum down on the system using a vacuum rated core depressor. I can not tell you enough how frustrated i have been at an apion core removal tool. The tip just dont fit correctly and 9/10 you will struggle getting it out. Unscrewing it is fine. Its the last timy bit of actually grabbing the core and getting it out of the hole.
I used it and ya they are truly amazing. help alot when you can't use a normal shredder valve remover tool.
These should work on standard Schrader valves?
I'm ordering some today! These will be handy for use with bluetooth probes for normal system service.
I use a core depressor on my high pressure probes, and have tried every brand of core depressor tool, including cheap Chinese ones.
They all have a very short service life before they develop leaks under pressure, even the AccuTools ones. I would not even dream of using any of them for evacuation.
Hopefully the Appion ones work out better.
I've had good luck with the navac core removal tools. Luckily I don't deal with the high flow valves much with Trane. Are you in Kanata ?
I'm assuming when you use these that when you're down with the vacuum you back out the depressor take off the hose(s) and micron gauge, attach your charging hoses, pull a vacuum on them or purge with refrigerant then depress the tool again and charge up the system? It also looked like the o ring on the high flow Schrader that you had depressed was freely moving which seems like it would cause problems but maybe it doesn't do that when the core is installed?
