I'm currently changing some starting components on this compressor right here. It had a trip breaker and the first thing I noticed is the capacitor is completely swollen, right? So I put in a temporary capacitor. I'm going to get starting components that way. it runs while I'm gone.
but as I'm doing that I Notice that their walk-in freezer condenser has a locked up motor and then this one has oil all over it like the bearings are going bad. If you all start thinking like an owner, start noticing that stuff. Big Picture Diagnosis: Bring it up to your company. Bring it up to the customer.
You'll get recognized by the customer and your company. More so by looking at the big picture and being that go-to technician that finds problems you know and eliminates future service calls for me. I'm slammed right now so knocking this out now saves me on a Friday night. So Big picture Diagnosis stuff guys!.
Very True. God Bless
i wish that was the case in industrial maintenance in most places they say can it run? if yes leave it alone until it fails and shuts the line down or until the production run is done.
It's frustrating how often components break. Like they're intentionally made to fail sooner than they should have to. Guess all the companies that make super durable stuff either cost "too much" or go out of business from lack of repeat customers?
Unfortunately the company I work for only wants me to fix whats wrong, get it going, and move on. But I always keep you in mind when I'm on.the job. Keep doing what you're doing Chris.
Hot ass roofs, dirty ass kitchens….
You're Killin it Bro!
Are you still hiring??
I like the wire up and leave that X turbo 200 as a permanent capacitor.
But it’s not good for job security, because it most likely outlast the equipments lifespan.
Big picture diagnosing is king, thank you for preaching big picture. I'm one to say it works every time.
Of course, i always had a punch list for every call i went to never did i just slap my gauges on replace run caps or half assed anything. Like he said when You can see the big picture and outside of the box people will want to continuously come back to you.
Oil from bearings or oil from a leaking cap??? Are you in Kanata ?
It's called PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE. Be an adult.
I’ve always loved the “big picture” idea you’ve been preaching with your videos but I think some of this also falls under the category of just being a good person and helping others out Service area Orleans??
I got in trouble talking to the homeowner about a problem I noticed my company said I should have told them and lied to the customer
