So today we're changing out the evap coil on the Fujitsu. Ducted mini-split, as you can see, are some streaks in that coil. All those hit positive for a frigid. So there's oil streaks right there.

That's what we're gon na do. We're already got this panel down and the drain pan pulled out, so we're going to loosen our flares here. Take those apart. I'm gon na pull the screws out, not pull this coil out.

I'm gon na put the new one up all right. We got a new coil here or old coil here when you're doing this, you want to make sure you put gloves on because that coil will cut you, that's all you have to hold on to so you got a couple screws that go in here and more Here and then this little plate here it slides up and holds your line set in then we got a the mr. here that was attached to the coil, so we're ready to put the new one in got a new coil up. Okay, just let me show you guys look around when we pulled off the flares.

I could actually see you, man, that is blue leak. Luck in the fire looks like got to redo these flavors. All right I got some, you need all back together, got it pulling a vacuum out to recharge it, insulate those lines and we'll be good.

Why didnt you repair the leak instead of replace the entire coil

You always redo flares whether they look good or not. The copper has been compressed and work hardened once it’s used.
As for the blue leak lock it shows the person who is taught how to do this was taught by an amateur even though he may have 20 or 40 years experience. I often find the screens to the expansion valves partially plugged up leak lock but still working when you hook up with you to the software you will notice the electronic expansion valves duration ( dwell )opening time higher than normal because they’re starving and it’s trying to compensate. The technician will think it’s working OK because it cools to the hand beer can cold but the system is actually running very inefficiently Are you in Kanata ?
