But just gon na do uh, i'm going through our thermostat graveyard. I've been looking at doing youtube live for a while, and i you know, played around with different ideas, maybe interviewing some folks um, but at the same time um, there's a lot to that and and and so on. I'm always looking to make sure i'm adding value for you guys, especially if you're going to take time out of your day to watch something that i have put out there. So i've got some thermostats here, uh if you're interested in one of these thermostats that i go through i'll uh i'll, probably say this again, but if you're interested in one of these thermostats, just let me know just shoot me a message um through uh through youtube Or or email me through griffinair, i don't look at all the emails anymore but um, but someone someone will will get that email we'll go from there, um yeah and if, if you're interested in any of these thermostats i'll uh i'll, send it to you i'll.

Just ask you to pay me for the shipping um, so i'm not uh looking to you know, make a profit off of any of this, but uh yeah. So we've got some old thermostats here and uh. Some of them look like they're in decent shape. Some of them are not in so the best shape, but if you uh, you know like say, if you see a thermostat, you like or want um i'll, send it to you and uh.

You know. Maybe you can use it for parts or whatever clean it up and and use it. So some of these are you know some of these thermostats. Like you look at this iq drive thermostat i mean that booger right there was probably five six hundred dollars when it was new um used.

I don't know what it's uh, what its value is, but it's no value to me. So if you want it, you just let me know and like say you just pay shipping and i'll, send it to you, but i'm going to go through these and if you see one in particular just shout at me and i will hook it up to my Power here and we'll we'll fire it up and make sure it works and all um. Also, if you decide you want one of them, i'll, probably clean it up the best i can and i'll fire it up as well and make sure it actually works before i, you know send that to you but yeah. So i've got several here.

I'm gon na try to turn the camera down here a little, so you can see that. Well, that's not gon na work at all. So i guess i'm just gon na hold them up um, so yeah. So i've got this uh iq drive thermostat.

This is a communicating thermostat, typically and um. It goes with the nordine units, so whether it's a maytag brown new tone, one of those iq drive systems. This thermostat would work for that. Like say new, this thermostat probably was 500 bucks back in the day, so i've got that one.

I have an old-school mercury thermostat, i'm sure nobody wants that, but uh i have one. If you do want it uh, let's see i've got a emerson. Emerson looks like a, i don't know what the model number is on this, but little uh looks like it does: it'll do heat pumps, little uh single stage, thermostat emerson and it is battery operated. If you want that, so you can either battery operate it or you can hardwire it.

It looks like it'll also do gas or electric furnaces, so little emerson thermostat there um! Well, some of these thermostats. We came across them when we uh replaced the heating and air system uh, so we'll pull the old system out and they'll have the thermostat there and i've been asking for the guys to hold on to it. So i could do something like this and again. My my whole goal is just run through these.

If you want one just, let me know if you uh, if you see one you like or if you have one just like it, and you want to use it for parts but uh the next one. I have an emerson. This looks like a newer model of the one. I just showed you and uh yeah, i'm struggling.

Oh here we go model number one f, seven, nine one f, seven, nine uh f is in frank, one f, seven, nine and again this one looks to be very similar to the other one. As far as uh you can put batteries in it. You can hard wire it it'll. Do it's got the ob, so you know it can do a heat pump.

It's got um. I don't see a switch for the gas or electric furnace, but that doesn't mean that it's not there. I just i'm just not seeing it right this second, but uh yep, there's that one and again, if you see a thermostat, you like i'm, not looking to make a profit, i will send it to you. Just you like say you just have to pay shipping.

So, there's that guy uh i've got an old 8 000 here looks like it's seen better days. You can have it for free, just pay shipping um. As you know, if you've watched any of my videos, the honeywell 8000 historically has always been my favorite thermostat um, and this one is: let's see it's a wf, so this has wi-fi capable now, if it's still connected to someone else's account. Unfortunately, that may not work, but if it's not attached to their account anymore, if they, if they took it loose uh, then this would be wi-fi capable all you'd have to do is put that little that little code in there when you connect it to your honeywell App and this 8 000 - you know free, thermostat, um, so shoot i mean.

If nobody wants this sucker, i might even find a place for it. Uh, let's see, i do have now again these these were some expensive boogers. Back in the day, i've got some of the old uh flip open style carriers. I've got two of these and again, if you want them, just pay shipping i'll, send them to you model number one: let's see, is it the same model number? It is the same model number.

It is not the same model number there's a couple. What so the model number is tsat ccna, co 1-b on this one, and this one is t-stat ccn hp, which probably means heat pump, um, and so these it it actually just so, you see you actually swing it open the entire thing open on these. These are those old school carriers but shoot when these things were new, i mean some of you guys, probably know better than i do. Uh you're, probably in the 90s.

These suckers right here were uh the cat's meow, especially the zoned ones. This one does not look like it's one of the zoned ones, but uh. If you ever flip that door open - and you see all the zoning buttons and stuff where you can check each sensor in each zone. Uh those were some expensive, thermostats uh, the the uh.

They don't they don't make them anymore, because everything's digital now everything's touch screen and all that fun stuff, but uh yeah, free thermostats. Again, if you uh, if you see one you like or want or you know, maybe you had this thermostat and you you know, didn't uh something. You know you don't have it anymore or something, and you want one just holler at me. Send me a message.

Send a message to griffin air i've got a uh looks like a train train. I'm uh, i'm gon na see if i can find the model number, but that's what it looks like. So it's an old train thermostat, a lot of these thermostats back in the old days. So train would be one of these um and several of the other brands.

They would have the company's name on it, so train lennox, whatever amana, but for the longest time amanda. Would actually be a good one, amanda goodman for the longest time they didn't make thermostats right. They they didn't make them. So if you saw something with their name on it and the train would be included in that too.

A couple of the guys just stopping by the shop here and like say, if you're just now tuning in going through some of our thermostats. If you see one you like i'll, send it to you free i'll, just ask you to pay shipping, that's all um i'll! Even show you the receipt, so you know i'm not getting one over on you, but uh yeah. So i've got an old train here and uh. This one model number is looks like a 540 t-a-y s-t-a-t-540 um.

So just a normal, you know connection you connect this base on the wall and, and you just click your your base on there. So, but this looks like it'll. Do it'll definitely do a heat pump, it looks like it's got the o terminal b terminal. It's got the emergency heat and uh.

You know like say some of these thermostats yeah i mean they've got some age on them, but you know they're, not there's nothing wrong with them. They're, just thermostats that we pulled out and uh. You know, if that one of you decide you do want it i'll uh. I will check it i'll turn it on i'll, make sure it works i'll, clean it up as i can and i'll send it to you.

You'll get a thermostat that you know probably was worth hundreds of dollars at one point for nothing just for shipping, so this little booger looks like it's uh hanging on to the screws, but this is a climatouch thermostat. This is not something. I've seen a lot of model number ct-03ts made in canada, so it's probably good. I mean if it's made in canada.

Anything made in north america typically is better than anything, not um or europe. If it's made in europe - but i don't know too many that are made over there um so there's that and again i've got another lever, style, mercury, thermostat and uh you're. Welcome to that too, if you want it so got a few more here, i'm gon na check. Ah so i was i i referenced this a second ago.

So if you were watching this a second ago - and i was going through some of these carrier thermostats and i talked about the cat's meow and here he is - i found one um, so this sucker right here, uh back in the 90s or you know or mid-2000s. This is uh. This was the cat's meow right here um, so it's a programmable thermostat the carriers again, if you're just tuning in free thermostats. As long as you pay shipping i'll, send it to you.

So this is our thermostat graveyard, but uh this sucker right here. I mean this even today i mean much less back then, but even today, this is this thing's, probably worth several hundred dollars right here, several hundred dollars, if you were to get it from carrier um most stuff, they've got now is touch screen and all that and You probably have to replace your sensors, but if you've got an old, zoned, uh thermostat, you know there you go, you know what else we got here, bang so i found uh. This will probably be the highlight of our video here. So if you have watched this, if you're interested i've got some of the carrier touch screen thermostats and these these are like say these - are you know several hundred dollars? Even today i mean, if you wanted one of these and uh like say i'll, just send it to you, i'm not worried about it, but uh, i'm not seeing the model number, but these i mean shoot.

Look at that. There's hardly any dust or anything i mean these are pretty new. Looking um there's the base so send me a message: i'm uh, i don't wan na. I don't know all these numbers.

I don't wan na read the wrong one and you know look silly, but i'm not sure what the exact model number is. But yeah i mean that's one of those touch screen carriers right there or actually no wait a minute. This isn't one of the touchscreens. You got to open it up, but still you know these suckers right here, probably you know a couple hundred bucks right there.

So even if you're a carrier dealer - and you want these just holler at me - i'll send them to you. So that's that that is not going to be in today's video. That's just an 8 000 that seemed better days all right. Here we go so here's uh anybody that uh.

If you've watched any of my videos, you know that the newer 8000s is my favorite thermostat of all time. Well, probably, my second favorite thermostat of all time might be the older 8000s, because pretty much everything that the newer 8000s do, the old ones did. They were just a little harder to program um, so this one um half decent shape like say i'll fire it up and make sure it works before i send it to you, but uh. You know most of these thermostats.

They were fine when we pulled them off. The wall and you're welcome to them um, but yeah, that's one of the older 8000s. It's got the little uh. It's got the five buttons down at the bottom, and uh yeah shoot i'm gon na set that aside, i might even fire him and those carriers up in a minute, and we can look at it.

Um boom got another old 8000 right there. Free thermostats just got to pay shipping there's an older 8 000.. These are like say, probably of all time. This is probably my second favorite thermostat of all time, a little a little hard to uh program, a little harder than the newer 8000s, but still a great thermostat.

We used to use them for dual fuel, all the time and uh. You know just a great little thermostat there so got the base and the front there and like say some of these might even be still wi-fi capable. I mean this as long as they're not connected to an account. Then they would be, they would be still wi-fi capable um.

I'm not seeing the model number to tell you for sure. Usually if it's got a wf, that's a th83 yeah! So that's got a u in there. So that might not be wi-fi capable, but still a great thermostat. I mean here's uh.

So this is the a c o n t 802. A this is a american standard train for a while were using the same. They were basically eight thousands uh. They had their own model numbers and they had their own labels, so that one says american standard on it still an eight thousand and uh i'm not seeing the base.

But if i find the base for it's still a great thermostat, you got an american standard system. You know it's an older thermostat, but still great i mean probably when this that sucker was new, probably two 250 thermostat right there um we've got a emerson, 500 wp 434z blah blah blah nothing wrong with that thermostat. It's actually uh. You know it's not even dusty.

Compared to a lot of the other ones, we've been looking at um and like say, free thermostats. If you see one you're interested in interested in i'll, send it to you battery capable on that one and i'll send it to you free uh. Just ask you to pay shipping, that's all and uh, so yeah emerson, cincy security code. So this has only been this was uh.

This is a part of the scentsy uh. You know emerson, scentsy line so shoot. That's probably a hundred dollar thermostat right there and i'll. Like say i'll, give it to you just shoot me a message: um and i've actually got two of those.

So if you want matching ones free, thermostats, bang, um, i've got an another old mercury one. Nobody probably wants that. But if you do, let me know, and i've also got a an old school. Well i'll, just show it to you.

I can't get the thing off right. The second i've got girly hands um all my friends pick on me, but uh so that thermostat uh. You know probably a 20 or 30 thermostat, but free for for you if you want it, so let me see if i can get. Let me try a little harder about getting this thing off the bait.

There we go uh yeah. So all so, let's see how it's wired, because that'll tell us a lot. It's got the r y w g, so i oh that yup there's the ob terminals, so this thermostat will do a heat pump. It says nordyne right there if you can see that so that probably was connected to a some sort of nordine system back in the day and uh.

You know, like i say some of these thermostats were probably you know, i don't say they're. They were the cat's meow, but some of these thermostats like say several some some of them are hundreds of dollars back in the day. Um, i'm not done, hang tight. Let's see uh i'll, say this too, if you, if you're, you know, if you're watching this and you're like gosh, i don't want this used stuff.

Where can i get new thermostats uh? If you go to our website new hvac guide, i've linked to some of the better thermostats on the market, most of them are wi-fi capable and you can just go to our website and click on those links um. But you know most of the ones that i have on there you, you know they're open to the public anyway, uh all right, so we've got another one of those old carrier, zoned ones again. You know this sucker was probably the cat's meow back in the day. Back in the 90s, this was a 500 thermostat, easy definitely 400..

I'm not that's, not a stretch to to say, and so you know the way these would work is they would have sensors throughout the house, and this one thermostat could see all those sensors um. So you could go through that one thermostat and say: okay, you know! What's what's zone three doing okay, i wan na i want zone three to warm up a little bit or whatever, and you could set each zone how you wanted it so that thermostat right there they say it's free model number on him is, i think my hands Are straight again on me: she don't open well anyway, there he is. I don't know the model number uh. Let's see, ooh got some old, uh old 3000s.

You know back in the day, i honestly i've probably put more 3 000s in than any other thermostat. They were all reliable back in the day. You could connect it to a conventional system. You could connect it to a heat pump system.

They were battery, enabled or hardwired. They were non-programmable. So there's not a whole lot of bells and whistles to go wrong and you you would just mount your base pop this on and uh. You know there's where you put your batteries in free thermostat again, if you see this just shoot me a message i'll any of these thermostats are free so far and uh you just pay shipping and i'll, send it to you and i'll fire it up.

First, before i, you know i'll make sure it works, but uh got another. Three thousand so got two of those. Now two three thousands you're welcome to and oh got another one of those carrier guys got the swing door. So i think i've got a total of four of these now.

So, if you like that sucker free carrier, i mean it. This is probably i mean a gen, i mean genuinely. This is probably a 300 thermostat, i'm just throwing numbers out, there might be 200 but uh. But it's it's.

You know it's a higher end. Thermostat! It's you know before you. You know get one from lowe's. I mean that's free, so i'll, send it to you and like say, i think i've got four of those, so i just found another one and they're all in decent shape.

So i'm not sure what house they came out of, but uh. You know you can see that i mean there's hardly no dust on them, unlike some of the other ones that i've been showing you. So i got a feeling. Those will go.

Some somebody probably will reach out and say they want those uh. Even if it's a contractor um - let's see - i think, that's it. One of my guys was calling me uh, just real quick i'll touch on again. I've got four of these for these and the model number on those is well.

He don't want to open part of it is my hands are cold there. It goes uh, tp, php01 and let's say i've got four of those they're all the same style. I don't know if they're all exactly the same model number, but if you want one or all four just holler at me, and i will send them to you free uh, you just pay shipping, so i've got four of those. I've got two of these two of the three thousands i've got.

I think it's two of these, the old school cats meow the uh. What was the model numbers? I think it was like cz something or another on these, but these were the these, were the top of the line deal back in the day for the carriers and a lot of people still have them. So that's why i like say: that's why i hang that's. Why i hung on to them and you're, welcome to them uh.

So i'd like to say, i had two of those i've got two of these they're sort of like these, but they're. Not zoning capable, and some of them just need to be cleaned up a little bit. That's all um! I do have a an 8 000, a newer 8 000 that it's got some stains and stuff on it. So you probably don't want that.

But if you do it's free um, but i have at least one of the older eight thousands and uh like i say if, if you've watched any of my oh, no, i've got two of them. So if you've watched any of my videos, you know i'm an 8 000, i'm a honeywell, 8000 lover um. I can do so much with an 8 000 and you can too you just program them. I can do a dual fuel system.

I can do a multi-stage system, i can do i mean other than communicating there ain't a whole lot that other thermostats can do that. I can't do with an 8 000. That's why i love them. We used to be able to just throw one of those on our truck and just get about.

You know just about get anybody going in the middle of the night, so i've got a couple of those. I've got a scentsy one of the lower end since he's not the touchscreen. Oh no wait a minute. I got two of those.

That's right. I got two two of those, so you know yeah just wanted to do that. I uh i've never done one of these youtube labs before so i wanted to do that. But again, if you catch this and you want, you know a free thermostat, just holler at me - just pay shipping and i'll uh i'll fire.

It up make sure it works before i send it to you, um, but other than that uh. You know there there's a lot of these thermostats there's nothing wrong with them. Um. You know, that's, probably a 300 thermostat right there.

That i'll give you, if you just pay shipping and i've got four of those. In particular, i've got two of the old three thousands free love, the three thousands i've got two of the older 8000s. I've got two of the old-school cats, meow carrier, zoning systems that used to have the little sensors. So if you still have those sensors in your house - and you don't want to replace your entire zoning system - bang i've got two of those and uh.

You know i touched on all those others as well, so i've got all kinds of little knick-knack thermostats, so i'll send them to you free, i'm not looking to make anything off of these uh they're a lot of them. We just pulled them out of a house and there was nothing wrong with them. So, instead of just throwing them in the trash, i'd figure i'd, you know throw them on our youtube channel.
