In today's video, we're going to talk about a Honeywell 8000 years ago we did a complete setup of the thermostat, but in today's video we're just going to Simply show you how to make the thermostat programmable to be able to set up a schedule or make it non-programmable You're tired of the holds, you don't want to even mess with the schedule anyway, and you want to get all that off of there. We're going to talk about that right now. Let's get to it all right guys. We're back to our Honeywell 8000 here.
and in the last video we talked about how to get into the installer options which is pulling this base plate off and getting the four digit code on the back. If you haven't seen that video, watch that first. But now we're going to look at how to make it programmable or not programmable. So if you don't see where you can put it in hold or cancel the hold and go back to following the schedule here and you want to turn that on or you do have that functionality, you're able to temporary or permanent hold and you are running a schedule of some type, but you want to turn that off.
Here's how you do that. So we're going to go to menu and then last video. We found out our code is 1804 on this thermostat. They're all different and we're going to open that and we're going to go to setup and we're going to scroll over until we see the thermostat type and this one says programmable.
We're going to push the arrow down until it says non-programmable so it's just the two options: programmable or non-programmable. And so programmable means you're going to have the functionality of running a schedule, being able to set time throughout the day, goes to different temperatures and different settings. And if you want to just have a simple thermostat, you want it to say non-programmable and so we're going to hit Done! Exit Setup: Yes Save changes. Yes.
And in this case, if you remember, we had a hold, we were able to run a schedule and now that functionality is gone, it's now a non-programmable or thermostat that doesn't run a schedule. Thanks for watching if you enjoyed this video. I Think you'll like this one even more. It's where I toured the largest heating and air manufacturing facility in.
