There are two ways to drain water from your hot tub. The easy way and the fast way. Number one is the easy way. Use your drain valve.

Start by finding and removing the cap on your hot tub drain valve. This is usually near the base of your hot tub so that the water can drain from the lowest point of the spa. Once you found the drain valve, unscrew the plug or connect a garden hose or PVC pipe, open the ball valve, or turn the base of the drain to start the flow of water. The water will drain out over the next few hours.

Number two: The fast way: Use a sum pump, attach a garden hose to your sum pump, and then place the pump inside the deepest part of your hot tub. plug in the pump and turn it on. Just be sure to keep an eye on the water level. If the pump runs dry, it can burn up the motor, turn off the pump as soon as it stops pumping water.
