Hey everybody welcome to swimuniversity.com. My name is matt javanese and today we're going to talk about how to get rid of hot tub foam quickly. First, let's talk about some common causes of why there's foam in your hot tub? It could be hairs, hair products, makeup body, lotions, body oils. I know skin cells, i know gross, i know drinks.

Perhaps you spilled a drink in the spa. Maybe you bought some cheap chemicals at a big box retailer. Any one of these things can make your water thick and make the bubbles like a bathtub, which you don't want in your hot tub. So we got to think about ways to prevent it before you get in your hot tub.

You should take a shower and have everybody else, who's getting in your hot tub. Do the exact same thing make sure that your bathing suits are washed? Now i know when you wash them in the laundry room, there's going to be detergent, which is soap which could actually cause foam in your pool. Why don't you just rinse your bathing suits out with water after they've been washed so that before you get into the hot tub, you won't cause any foam people that have a lot of hair products and women with long hair. Try to keep your head above water? Don't go underwater and let that product soak into into the hot tub stay above.

Water stay dry, at least from the neck up and you'll still be able to enjoy the spa just like everybody else. Don't buy cheap chemicals. I know. Hot tubs are awesome and i know you're going to be in them with friends with families a lover perhaps, and there you might imbibe a little bit by kicking back a few cocktails, even though i personally don't recommend it but hey.

I know that it's going to happen just try not to spill your drinks or use something with a lid or take my advice and don't drink in the spa. Keep your hot tub clean! That's simple! Make sure you drain it every three to four months to get fresh water in there and keep your chemicals intact, and you won't have any foaming problems. However, if you've taken my advice or you've kept your hot tub clean and clear and there's still foam, i have a couple ways to get rid of it: the first step easy drain. It refill it simple, as that second use a hot tub de-foamer.

You can pick one up at your local hot tub store and all you do is you squirt it in and the foam disappears quickly. I mean almost instantly, although it's a temporary fix much like chloroseptic spray. If you have a sore throat, you got to take care of the root of the issue, which means you got to get your hot tub chemicals right. You got to get the oils and stuff out of your hot tub or, like i said, just drain and clean it and refill it.

That's all you need to do to get rid of foam, but if you're having foam a quick fix or maybe you're having a party go, get some hot tub. Defoamer it'll take care of your issue right away.
