Here are three ways to use less chlorine in your hot tub: Number one: Use a mineral sanitizer. These sanitizers use minerals like silver and copper to kill bacteria and algae, so you only need to keep your chlorine levels at 0.5 parts per million. And they're easy to use and relatively affordable and you only have to change out your Mineral Cartridge every few months. Number two: Install an ozonator hot tub.

Ozonator sanitize your water and Destroy microorganisms with UV light or ionized electricity. And like mineral systems, you'll need much less chlorine in your water. Number three: Add an oxidizer regularly using a non-chlorine shock. AKA oxidizer will keep your chlorine active in the water for longer.

That means you won't need to keep adding chlorine when your levels drop.

Also what about the I forgot what they call it the sunscreen for chlorine where it helps the sun not break down the chlorine so fast. Forgot what it's called anyway, but you're supposed to put it in like at the beginning of the year and like helps protect the chlorine. I did that and my chlorine levels stay in the pool for very long time with pretty amazing actually. But I like those tips about the copper mineral thing
