Thank you for talking about the customers side, it is easy as for us Techs to get frustrated with sub par equipment, but to think about it in a way to understand the customer, is the right way! We can only do what we can! Good job! If not receiving cash flow because of the shutdown then yeah of course they just want maintenance because of their uncertainty. Service area Nepean??

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JChris Carter says:

    Love the vid.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JChris Carter says:

    Charging liquid on r-22???

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JChris Carter says:

Carrier has always had a problem with fans eating belts…..Specially double belts….Poor manufacturing…Poor engineering….I loved the old carrier VVT and VAV systems….Great work for a good tech.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JChris Carter says:

How can they have a make-up air unit down in a kitchen…..It is an important part of hvac… Health Departments in Michigan would violate on that.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Hartwell says:

    what are those digital gages?

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Silva says:

One tech to replaced 10 air filters what kind of pm is that .

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Abdelhak Mouaket says:

    Pléiade de are need subtitlee

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars uberwayz says:

Your an amazing engineer and I believe that it's your lack of sales skills that let you down. What I mean by this is that my customers generally always buy what I tell them to buy.

What I tend to do is outline what will happen if they don't and make them realise that not getting the work that's really needed will result in much more cost and stress shortly down the line.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Javier Cruz says:

I absolutely love your channel! Are you in Nepean ?

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars retinaquester says:

I think the rinsing of the airconditioning radiator is so satisfying. Almost feeling of doing our on on top of work. (It's on a maintenance contract though)

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ryan Bruss says:

You OBVIOUSLY know what your doing cuz I do the same profession in Wisconsin but… your targeted SH was it based on ur knowledge or did you take the load readings (wet bulb/dry buld) to tell us where your SH should be? Still learning here

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Siders says:

A trend I see is lack of basic cleaning of units can’t see why so many business owners are so tight with money then they freak out when every thing gives out ! Service area Orleans??

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tristin Kirby says:

I feel this customer was like "ehh just change the filter it'll be okay leave everything else as it is" "just make the AC work but I'm not willing to put out much money"

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rich gee says:

The obnoxious digital understandably bomb because sandwich peripherally describe unlike a well-made mail. dirty, sassy step-sister

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars smeutr1 says:

    What app is that?

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael W. Perry says:

I've got a question. I worked for a time doing electrical service at the long-gone John E. Mitchell Co. which made after-market Mark IV A/Cs for cars. Once a month there was a company-wide meeting in a room just under a tar roof exposed to the Texas sun. Having enough conventional cooling would have cost a fortune. Instead we had a small system that chilled a steel tank about 8x4x20. We'd start the chilling on a Friday and that water would be cooled enough by Monday morning to chill down that meeting room by Monday afternoon. That's long struck me as a way to cut down on the costs of air conditioning by smoothing out the demand. I realized that the weight of all that water on the roof would be an issue, but I am surprised the technique isn't used more often. Do you ever service such systems? Are you in Ottawa ?

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael W. Perry says:

I understand how you feel. I worked one summer in Myrtle Beach, SC. At that time most of the city's 40,000 motel rooms used Feder's window units and where I worked provided the service for them. When one was down, the room could not be rented, so motel managers were desperate for a fix. I worked in that miserable heat and humidity for 10-12 hours a day six days a week. The only good news is that I had lots of money for college come fall.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars hvacIQguy says:

Do you have any videos on or using Job Link or Testo probes? Seems like I have seen one vid where you were using Fieldpiece. What's your thoughts on either or both? I like them both. Altho I have yet to build up my entire Testo kit. and so far I like it. But my Fieldpiece kit, I've got plenty of that stuff. I need to build my Testo up considerably before I can do a realistic comparison. Sure seems like you spend a lot of time at this restaurant. I hope theyre hooking you up on the crunchies… Esprcially after making you work ENDLESSLY on these old dinosaurs… another good job bro!!!

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars CR Solarice says:

Well, I was surprised that you said that there was at least one R-22 system on that roof… That got me very curious. Could you explain how they are able to run R22? Is it a Grandfather thing? In California? Very odd. If they have been sailing on R22 for somewhere between 30 and 40 years I can't understand why they are so resistant to replace those systems. They might almost pay for them selves in energy conservation and maint calls. So how do you charge those systems? With R-22? Very strange.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nina McClure says:

That would be a good training session for a newbie if time was on your side. I'm noticing that I can watch these videos now and I'm starting to pick up on what is going on and what to check. Thank you for teaching me how to fix hvacr.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dennis Datin says:

On the blower at 25:xx If I had the cover off I would just pull it out and blast all the crud on it. I always like greased lightning. I would blow the heavy crud off, spray it and then scrub with a brush. That shows how many times they didn't change filters and they blew out letting crud through. Love that mold ALMOST as much as the smell of a good burn out..

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dennis Datin says:

how many times have you gone in and found the hi pressure cut out switch bypassed? I think I have found more disconnected than still in the circuit.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Lawfulpotato says:

I don't know how I managed to find this channel.
I also don't know why I can't stop watching it.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars unknown5 says:

    Awesome footage Service area Barrhaven??

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dano C. says:

Kinda surreal watching this in June 2021 now that a lot of the Country has opened back up for the third (hopefully final) time where I am at, and like he was mentioning, a lot of the businesses didn't make it.. pretty sad…

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Shorts says:

All the dead units did not happen on the same day, and after lack of care on everything is when I would start questioning am I going to get paid to work on these units. Maybe a bad stereo type but it would run across my mind. Do you get paid before fixing units, tough call here I have worked for so many builders that it makes you not trust anymore.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dan DJ Sokola says:

Bro! Do yourself a huge favor. Go get some Zep spray bottles. You're killing your hands and wasting product. Plus your coverage will be greater with the adjustable valve. I've had one for like 5 years. Got mine at Autozone. Actually I have four now. lol.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Moorgoth67 says:

Everytime I talk to owners of these maintenance neglected systems I hear Samuel L Jackson saying "well look at the brains Brett!" in the back of my mind. Spending so much extra on repairs that could have been detected and addressed with proper preventive maintenance vists.

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick B says:

Every day (or at least every time I see a situation like this) I thank my lucky stars my father taught me the importance of preventative maintenance. OTOH, it is revenue for guys like you. 😉 Good job my friend – I always learn from you. Are you in Barrhaven ?

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gary Finnstrom says:

Sounds like the owner doesn't want to really do the correct maintenance wants to be cheap this will get them in the end

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mesothelioma says:

why would you replace the entire motor on the first AC when all that needed to be done was resplice the power wires?

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marbella Frank says:

let me give you some advice:
if it is not broken don't try fixing!

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars B67FSTB says:

The wiring of those units are a disaster !!

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael O says:

Jesus put a bullet in these poor units. Talk about rode hard and put away wet … Check that… frozen.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joel Robles says:

    👍

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Maric says:

the cable management in there is worse than mine in my own private self built computer stuff
how do you do anything that messily

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Code Blue says:

Always intresting to see diagnostics of systems I am not familiar with (HV Automation engineer) Service area Ottawa??

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Unknownize says:

    And another video I don't understand I'm watching 😂

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars luzifer _ says:

this whole video is the perfekt example for why you should have regulary preventive maintenance on Ac and anything in general Are you in Kanata ?

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MIke Anonymous says:

Why on earth would the customer want to replace the whole unit over a bad compressor just because its a R22 unit? That would be a stupid business decision to replace. It would of course work out great for your profit margin. R22 is expensive but not enough to warrant a unit replacement.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephen Nichols says:

Found a lot of blower panel insulation would suck into blower restricting airflow causing unit to ice up and cause lock out on EVAP freeze stat lock out

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephen Nichols says:

    Condenser fa motor bearings

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephen Nichols says:

Seems they would want to clean and sanitize before allowing customer back
