After all was said and done this was a really fun service call, I actually prefer repairing these units vs just replacing them.

Nice emergency service call. They said there was a fire. They had the fire department out here. I Got here.
This panel was still screwed on. The fire department didn't even open it up. There's no active Flames or anything but I opened this up I Had to cut the belt off right here. There's a good- looking belt too.
Fairly new. Um, but I Had to cut the belt off. The motor's completely melted. It caught fire inside.
Uh. blower assembly is completely disintegrated. It's hot. This pulley is just red hot.
So yeah, this all just happened. Fun stuff. Nice. Uh Thursday Night: 10:30 at night.
Emergency service call here. Not much I'm going to do tonight. I'm just going to get this motor yanked out of here cuz it's still red hot like I'm surprised the fire department didn't even open the panel up. It smells like fire in here too.
Economic motors both needed parts. Nation wide locations
Slacker, call the parts house, drag dude outta bed & get your motor, get on with the GET ON !! Cash check tomorrow
These late night calls are why I got out of the game. Couldn’t do it with family and kids. Do installs and sheet metal and don’t have to worry about the bullshit
Get that money
Hvac guru. Love watching this dude.🫡🫡🫡
They need more training Of some kind, unless they are prejedust!!!!
That’s a good after hours call. Man I love those service calls.
That’s what happens when they don’t do prevent maintenance you crap like that . From look of unit it’s almost time for new one
Whenever they smell smoke….go to indoor blower motor
Looks like its time for a new unit. LMAO Are you in Barrhaven ?
I’ve replaced several of those blower wheels. They come loose at the fin/disc connection.
Where's the temperature limit switch?
Relax weenie
So what died first? Did the blower seize then stall the motor till death? Service area Nepean??
I literally just about had the same issue last night my air handler motor decided it didn't want to work anymore and I smelled something electrical coming through the air vents Are you in Ottawa ?
Most of the time, we’re asked by the emergency techs not to remove panels unless we absolutely have to get in and put out active fire. 99% of the time the only tool we’d have with us up on the roof to take that off safely and quickly if it’s still hot is an axe or a halligan bar, which means the whole box is gonna be beat to shit. So it’s easier for the techs to just come take off the cover once it’s cooled off so they won’t have to replace everything.
Nice nice did a service call last week and the same motor was just smoking the whole time I was like yeah thing needs parts 😅
Wow
