Trane, Carrier, Bryant, American Standard, York, Lennox, Rheem... Making since of some of the brands and who's who?
There are only a dozen or so major HVAC manufacturers, but there's a ton a brands. Why? Because One manufacturer can make an infinite number of brand names with the same exact products sometimes.

Hey guys, Joshua Griffin, Earheart field Virginia serving them the middle Peninsula in the Northern Neck wanted to do a video on HVAC brands and, if you're in the market for a new heat pump or furnace, sometimes all the different brands, all the different. You know things in the industry can be somewhat daunting and I want to make sense of a few things and the fact that some brands are actually made by the same folks same engineers, maybe painted a different color. But it's the same exact company. So, as you can see, I've actually broke it down into several different areas: different companies that are the same, and hopefully you can read that.

But essentially what I've found is there's hundreds of different brands in our industry. There's really only about six or seven main manufacturers. There might be some brands that you're looking at that aren't on this list. I just wanted to throw together some of the top selling brands, some of the brands that people in our area recognize, and so, as of 2016, the making of this video as I'm making this video.

This is kind of an outlook of how a lot of these companies are formed or how they are related to one another. So, hopefully you can read the list. I'm not gon na go into any brands, who's good who's, not because I've found with heating and air. It's sort of like cars, you like Ford, I like Chevrolet.

Is it either one better? Who knows it kind of depends on your experiences. If you're in the market for a new system, a new heat pump, a new furnace we'd love to earn your business we're looking at in Hartfield Virginia and we serve the middle Peninsula in the Northern Neck. I need a new 4 tons A/C unit soon. The original is a Carrier . One of my neighbor installed a Lennox. One installed a Bryant. My A/C guy suggested Tempster 4 tons A/C & furnace for $7,000. He said Tempster is good, reliable and reasonable priced. We live in Southern California Inland. What do you say about Tempster ? Thjanks.

Installation is the biggest and most important part. You can put the top of the line model but fail to properly install it ie: pull purge and pull vacuum to remove microscopic contaminants from the lineset and you are in a world of hurt down the line when txv valves get clogged up etc.. also newer high efficiency units require larger diameter vapor lines for example but companies will cut corners and not take that into consideration and you end up with reduced service life and lower than rated efficiency. Anyhow just a couple of examples why the company you choose to install is more important than brand.
