So I came across this product on an Instagram post called the HotLogic Mini and I thought it looked very promising, so I ordered one and cooked some chicken and it was awesome. Here is the Amazon link without the power inverter https://amzn.to/2Y9pY6H

This video is brought to you by spore'ln quality, integrity and tradition. Okay, so I was browsing Instagram and I saw something from someone I believe it was chiller check, chiller shake, I think I believe you're up in Canada and you work for Johnson Controls. I think or something anyways sorry, I don't know but anyways someone on Instagram I saw was using a hot logic mini on the job site and I was intrigued by so I went ahead and ordered one, so I haven't used it yet. I read the reviews and it says it's pretty cool, so essentially it's a hot pad right and it works kind of like a crock-pot.
So you just plug it in it. Has a standard 115 volt plug. They do offer a kit that you can buy. That comes with a little inverter for your vehicle, but in all the reviews that I read it says you can actually cook food from nothing, so I was kind of looking at it and I'm gon na without following instructions, I'm gon na cook some chicken.
So there's something in you here for Monterey: chicken, that's not what I'm doing. I'm just gon na do chicken with garlic and spinach and some seasoning and we're gon na see how this works. So it says it takes two plus hours to cook, so you could just leave it running. I don't know if I would leave it running in my van just because I wouldn't be there to watch it.
I'd be a little leery about that, but you know who knows to make it completely clear. I have no affiliation with hot logic. I think I bought this myself just because I saw someone else and looked kind of cool. I believe it costs somewhere around sixty five dollars, something like that.
I'll put a link to the Amazon page down in my video on this. So so I'm just going to kind of put some stuff together and you guys can see what we do again. I realize that I'm doing this if this works out. This could be something that we could prepare ahead of time and actually have a hot meal at work: good, decent food, instead of eating hamburgers and crap all day long.
So that's just raw chicken breaths contacts and garlic smash it couple chops, nothing put some veggies in there that geez, my I'm sitting, you're thinking about it. They might end up too mushy or something but we'll see. I don't think you can really go wrong right. Can you ever have too much garlic? No, let's suppose some seasoning on there we're just gon na go simple pepper.
Some chopped onion, I'm gon na go with dried chopped onion. Let's see what this turns out like, so so this, basically just pop this. In the a little hot logic and anything on the back, there's a little pouch where you reset all over your plug goes into so plug it into the receptacle. Put this guy on set a timer for two hours and then check it and see if the chickens done in two hours.
So, who knows this might be kind of cool and we'll see if this works, then this could be a great way that we can have good food out in the field than studying hamburgers all day. So I'm gon na go and stop the video and then I'll start it back up when it's done cooking. I forgot I wanted to have some spinach to it too. I'm just gon na grab a handful okay, so it's hot, but it's not it's warm. It's not hot on the outside, so it's interesting! So it's warm between two hours: oh yeah, that's hot! I'm just going to pop the top and see if the chicken is 165 and chickens 165. So 164, 164. 165. So the chicken is done.
Let me get a fork out see what it looks like. Okay, so chicken chicken is done and it's not dried out. I'm gon na call this a major win, because this, I don't know it really doesn't get hot enough. So I'm not too worried to be honest.
With you about leaving it plugged in in my man, I did two hours with just raw chicken and it's like absolutely done perfect. 165 degrees all the way through, so it cooked it thoroughly. So I think the things are pretty cool. Okay, I have you know like I said I have no affiliation with the hot logic mini or any of those people.
They didn't send that to me for free or anything like that. I just saw it was chiller chick on Instagram in one of her videos or something she plugged it in in a equipment room, and I was blown away like dude. That looks awesome because, again, we're plagued with this whole. What do we do to eat healthy? On the road and I had a killer lunch right, I mean there was nothing in it.
I didn't. I barely even added any salt. I had definitely added plenty of pepper, but I mean it had everything in it. I didn't add any butter, any oil anything.
So I just thought that was a really really cool thing, and this is the kind of stuff I want to do for you guys. So hopefully I want you guys to see the the tools and the different things that I like and I'm hoping that this works out for you guys. I hope you guys appreciate this. You know so I'm gon na put a link down in the show notes of this video right here.
It's gon na be an Amazon link to show you how much I paid for it and there'll be two links because there's one with the power inverter and one without the power inverter. So I have a power inverter already in my vehicle, so I don't need the extra one. So anyways do what you will with it. Hopefully, this guy's is something cool for you guys and you guys like it as much as I do, but I thought it was really really cool so yeah.
That's it just a little bonus, video I'll catch. You guys on the next one. Okay.
If I am correct I believe big Clive did a review and tear down on one of those probably a different brand.
Do you still use this?
I wonder what the Discharge line temp was
Do you still use this?
Question, why is this in an Exhaust Fans playlist?
Should put this on your tool review channel.
Why am I just now seeing this. Gonna get one. Watching this actually made me hungry
Some one came up with a great idea. Used to use those warmer cooler boxes but this great and no added water, really healthy unless you need rice but boil in bag throw that in there and you can have something really exotic. Great review, thank you. Stove in a briefcase amazing.
Domestic HVACR….. Kerry Gold butter…. a little olive oil? Maybe
Have you heard the skit Jim Gaffigan does for โhot pocketsโ….. thatโs all thatโs running trough my head ๐
Awesome. Just bought one
How were the carrots and broccoli? Were they cooked through?
These seem to be pretty good, I watched a trucker use one on YouTube. I think he uses his all the time. Are you in Orleans ?
I got one of those also and it is pretty good I must say. It will take a little bit of time to get stuff really warm. But for this trade itโs one of the better things Iโve found to work for meals on the go with out access to a microwave. Also my work truck has a plug adapter I can plug into so I can heat my lunch while driving to the next job site. Also tried heating up a soup can with a torch once but the can got to hot and melted through.
Just curious, what kinda taxes are you paying out in CA?
Did you actually try the meal?
Good vid. i like it. Service area Orleans??
Wow you just saved me man. I am a mobile Technician on the road and there's nothing i miss more than a hot meal on the road during our cold canadian winter.
On the plus side i have 120outlet so i can just plug it in around 10am and eat hot and ready at noon.
Thanks you for the tip for eating better
Roast beef, pepper Jack, baby spinach on wheat bread. Just need to use your refrigeration-fu to keep it cool.
Ty definitely will use this I hate eating fast food all the time. ๐
looks like a portable fire starter to me :))
A โwhen your wife angry but you need to workโ kit! Nice.. i need this Service area Kanata??
Does the smell seem to permeate the bag? I would hate to have my van smell like garlic and onion (both of which I love). I'm def going to give this a try, just wondering if you've used it beyond trying it in the video thus far.
Cooking session…
Can you do a video on installing your power inverter for your work truck? Please
You need to prep that chicken more .. coat in some olive oil then season with herbs and pepper and such.
Intriguing idea… cookouts on rooftops? Service area Barrhaven??
Thanks Chris
๐๐๐
Nice Video and Nice Roman Atwood Smile more hoodie. Are you in Ottawa ?
Nice idea man and agree trying to eat properly on the road is a real challenge Iโve found if I get takeout itโs rarely healthy.
Iโve gone a slightly different direction and ended up with a fridge, microwave oven, coffee machine and a butt load of batteries plus an inverter in the truck oh and a solar panel to keep the dream (and batteries) alive but I have possibly taken things a bit too far.
Sure beats the oxy fuel grilled cheeese!!! that looks awesome.
7 restaurant managers disliked this video Service area Nepean??
I use a black plastic bag and de โPOWERโ from the sun โ๏ธ to heat up my food on top of my vanโs dashboard!๐
Love that warmer itโs awesome
But… how did it taste?? Are you in Barrhaven ?
Have one of these and love it.
I like that idea, get tired of sandwiches on the field every day, or cold left overs
As a service apprentice, I love my hot logic mini. It's an absolute life saver, especially when it's cold.
This week on Martha Stewart….๐๐๐๐
Dry cooked! lolz I would Add Broth Perhaps
Just bought one. Thank you
I have one like it and I have used mines for years. I pop my food in it and 39 minutes later my food is hot and ready to eat. I use precooked meals I make.
This reminds me of the Car-B-Q, nothing like cooking on the manifold. btw, congratulations on you and the guys being able to eat a good meal instead of fast food.
If I ate that much for lunch, Iโd be back at the office all afternoon, โdoing quotesโ on the couch lol great idea though, we have techs that have microwaves built into van, drives me crazy, but theyโre happy, edit… techs are install crews robbing power lol, service guys would never do that, haha Are you in Nepean ?
why so little garlic?
That's really neat, brother. I'll have to check out the inverter version cause we don't have 120v , I would imagine you'd have to leave the engine running though , otherwise wouldn't it drain the car battery ? If it doesn't , then it's really an awesome product . Cheers for that , sir , thank you for the tip !๐
Ordering this tonight this is so freaking cool thank you for sharing your find brother
Cutco knifes are really awsome
Say you had one thx for the hot ideas
