I picked up this uh case and I need some ideas for better dividers because this foam isn't going to last. but maybe a couple weeks, maybe a month or something before these guys break. But I'm able to fit all my zoom lock Max press Jaws in here and then my Water Press jaws and again I don't do anything big so I've only got one inch, three quarter and half inch for plumbing and then inch and an eighth all the way down to quarter inch which is what I use for press. So I'm looking for ideas from you guys.

Do you guys have any ideas for a better insert set up here to kind of keep everything divided? I like the size of this case because I can consolidate everything into one case and then I have a perfect little storage space for it right there. But I just need a little bit of your help.

Buy some polyethylene foam in sheets and cut to size. I've done this with similar peli case.

What about thinking outside the box so I've been fighting organizing my tool boxes what if you put cut out that section where the Jaws are and put a a plier Rack in there you would have to size it out but they make wire ones they make plastic ones and it might fit in there just a thought

spray some "Plasti Dip" onto the foam to make it more firm and last longer. The jaw dividers might need to be made with a hard product but the rest of the foam would do well with Plasti Dip.

Some cheap, I will buy foam pad husky or some other brand and cut it like the way is the case foam. Service area Kanata??

There are companies who will make custom foam inserts for stuff like this instead of using the pick and pull foam. It is just custom cut to fit using either laser, a water jet. For a more DIY approach look into a product called Kaizen Foam it is a more firm foam. You cut out the areas that you want using the standard utility knife. I’ve seen people also using router or hot knives as well and install in the case.

For stools/equipment to heavy for boxfoam, i cut strips of aluminum for the height of the tool and put a small 90 degree bend on one end and glue that to the bottom of the case (or aluminum backplate). Basically make divider reinforcements. I used to glue felt to the aluminum to prevent scratching but these days i use ShadowFoam. Are you in Nepean ?

Cut in the middle of the foam slits and slide a small plate of plastic or something and glue it in between the slit. That could work.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gerbill742 says:

That’s the perfect job for a 3D printer. Some robust prints made out of PETG would do the trick.

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rosenrot says:

I think that hard styrofoam would work well (i don't mean the regular insulation stuff that is soft and fragile, i mean those hard heavier blocks which don't scatter), you could carve out all the shapes you need into it. 3D printed plastic could possibly work too but its much more fragile than styrofoam.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars George Robles says:

I'd 3d print you something, I need dimensions.
