I'm currently waiting for another service technician to bring me a new compressor for this guy. Um, while I'm waiting for him, it's so important that we're being efficient with our time. I'm doing everything I can short of taking the compressor out until I get the new one and I verify that it's absolutely correct. I'm sanding everything up because we're going to replace this rotor lock valve I'm disconnecting the pressure control because we're going to change the pressure control I'm just about done with the recovery.
but it's all about moving. Continue to move. Don't sit around and wait. Find something to do.

Which port on the rota lock valve is the one that is never closed off? Are you in Orleans ?

I did alot of ice maker calls and made myself busy with cleanup stuff while waiting for a cycle. Nothing like earning the hourly rate! saved alot of complaints later. Are you in Nepean ?

When I work with alarm systems I play similarly efficient. For example: I always unlock/take care of the panel, deal with monitoring, log in if necessary, temporarily turn off deterrent covers for pull stations if needed, see what other problems can be dealt with while waiting, etc. Basically I prep everything i can before the actual work begins. Its called being proactive and efficient.
Just did a compressor replacement. I have a bucket van for this.
My boss told me to never waste a trip and always have install trash In my hands when I’m going back to the van. Never waste a Trip!
i don't do hvac but when i do lawn care i just take my time because where i live all my lawns i cut are not all in a week because we hardly get rain an grass dosent always grow so its slow but out of town i get commercial yards needing to be cut an i for whatere reason get paid more an i don't want that i want to get paid the same amount which around 50-60 on worse looking yard the handicap people an disabled people i make them pay less or have someone help them paying if they can't pay an thats around 15-10 an on good looking yards its around 20-40 but most the time i charge less by the size of the yard but if im having to do commercial yards they pay me more then i wanted like 300 to over 500 an to be honest i wish they pay the amount that i charge the people that i cut in town but if all the yards including commercial is in one week (which never happens but would suck if it did) id do commercial first sense there bout the same size as baseball field an which a few is a couple is store yards that are tiny an my last four are marine shop yards id do those yard from sat sun mon tue which covers 9 in those four days then my 14 i can do wed Thursday fri sat sun but thats just an if but in the end i feel like im just ripping people off for just making there yards look nice Service area Ottawa??

I had one time to change out a Semi-hermetic compressor on a 20 ton unit and the customer requested we go immediately to the roof so the crane can take the compressor out. As I pulled up, the crane was set up and overtop the building.
I went directly to the roof. The customer has shut off the disconnect and that was it. 😆😆😆. None of the gas was recovered, compressor was not unbolted or unwired. 😂😂😂. “Not well planned out”
