Have you checked your pool water levels This winter? your pool may be at risk of overflowing if you've closed your pool for the winter, Chances are you've gotten some rain or snowfall on top of that winter cover and that water will drain into your pool. So use a cover pump to remove any standing water from your pool cover. Peek under your cover to see how your water levels look. If it's incredibly full, it might be worth pulling back the cover and using a sump pump to remove any access water before the spring.

I have an Intel pool and I followed all your instructions for a pool closing. I even got pool clips and the plastic wrap to put around the pool so the cover doesn’t get blown off. I even blew up the pillow only to 60% and within a month after the first big rain, all the air came out of the pillow. I believe it’s coming out of the hole where you put the air in. I know we pushed the plug all the way in. Now what do I do because the entire pool is clipped and wrapped up, so I can’t get to the pillow. Is it safe to just leave it the way it is? I live on Long Island, so the winters aren’t too harsh.
Why is it necessary to drain the now? It is ok to wait and drain it later?
