Here are three steps to protect your pool equipment over the winter: Number one: keep pool chemicals out of Colder temperatures and in a dry ventilated area, they can actually expire when exposed to low temps. Number two: Bring your pump inside if you have a harsh winter climate, but you can leave it outside and winterize it. If you live somewhere milder, just be sure to blow out the water and winterize it properly if the temperatures drop below freezing. And number three, hose down and dry off any pool supplies and tools before storing them.

This will help prevent freeze damage and rust.
