People Owners: Did you know that the average pool loses up to a half of an inch of water every day because of evaporation? This is 3.5 inches per week and depending on the size of your pool, that could be up to 10 000 gallons a year. When your pool water evaporates, you lose chemicals with it. so make sure that your pool is covered when you're not using it and use a solar cover at night to help retain heat and water. But if you're losing more than a half of inch of water a day, you might have a leak.
