Hey Pool Owners: Is your pool solar blanket actually causing algae? If you leave your solar blanket on your pool for a few days, you could cause a greenhouse effect in your water and if you have any existing algae spores in the pool, they'll start to bloom in those higher temperatures. Solar covers also don't allow for off-gassing Chemicals like chlorine need to evaporate, and without that air movement, your water chemistry can become imbalanced leading to algae growth. So plan on removing your solar cover once a day and consider investing in a good solar roller or reel to help make your job easier. Those things are the worst. They don't last, trap tons of debris on the blanket, alge growth, and ugly😂

I wish I knew this last week. Just finished cleaning out my extra pool algae. I swear on another of your videos it said if you're not using your pool leave the solar cover on. I'll be sure to remove it now.
