This device does not work well less than 1 A cannot measure

A bad device does not measure less than 200 watt, so there is no need to advertise it Service area Barrhaven??

When using a clamp type meter, you should always center the conductor in the jaws. Most have alignment marks to aid in doing this.

Can you do a video explaining inrush amps more indept maybe in one of your podcasts

Hi Bryan what is the inrush amps on the new Greenspeed units and can you put a hard start kit on them. I want to make sure my generator can safely start my 4 ton. (Installed by Kalos btw 🙂 )

Is there a difference with inrush amp setting on a meter, and the Max amp setting on a meter?
I ask due to the fact that my meter can do max/min amp testing.

Very well done, the fact that you said in-rush current draw doesn't actually decrease, but that the motor simply gets to operating rotational speed faster, with the addition of a start capacitor and potential relay, and then the meter reading shows a lower current draw on start up. Should HVAC techs be installing these hard start kits on systems that don't have any starting issues, just for the ability of the compressor to be able to spin up faster, thus reducing "wear" on the start winding. If so, shouldn't the manufacturer be building units with them already in circuit.
Perhaps you could do a video on how capacitors work, and how they affect the motors in which they are being applied to. Like phase shift angle, influencing direction of rotation, proper sizing, voltage differences, etc. Thanks. Are you in Nepean ?

You didnt show how far the amps came down…..?

That meter looks huge, is that the one that almost killed John Israel

I don't understand why you are calling that a hard start kit. That looks like a start capacitor with a potential relay.

    Great video!
I have a question: which wire is the one you a putting the clamp on? The run wire of the compressor???
