Fun stuff. Doing a little install real quick. Not gonna make a full video on this one, but this is a six ton heat pump. We already got it set.
They have some silliness going on with the thermostat wire. We got to figure something nice out about that, but this is one of those Eco blue or this is Bryant I Don't know what they call this one, but it's just that blue motor from carrier Bryant carrier. Same crap fun stuff Futures Here right? we? uh, it's a side shot for the return, a down shot for the supply. So right now what we're going to do is we're gonna Pookie up the panel right there real good.
and then we're going to work on getting the economizer in. and then we got a couple people here I'm working on doing the electrical I got someone getting me some conduit. We're gonna mount a disconnect and go from there. Fun stuff.

Junk motor they just rebuilt that idf motor from the factory. They were on crazy back order

Make sure you do like some of the genius install guys around here in NC, and mount the disconnect to a panel that needs to be removed during normal prev maint calls 😂 I don't know why they do that, or how it gets passed on inspection when they do that stuff. Great video as always!
I think it’s cool how precisely you can dial in the airflow on these. Although I’ve seen people just leave the motor at the factory default speed with no commissioning done.

Us trades kick and snipe each other, be it chippies, sparkies, ac and hvac, plumbers etc,
But if anyone aka office workers, managers, lawyers accountants etc try to take the piss or are derogatory to our fellow trade(s), then there is going to be some smack a going,
Double check that you don't have a wild leg if it's 3ph. They REALLY don't like wild legs. Wound up changing 4 motors and 3 boards until they figured out that the 277v wild leg was killing the motors. Service area Orleans??

We put in quite a few of these. I do like the new blower design. Easy to clean and service, replacement is a longer process but if it makes our job more efficient then I’m all for it

I’ve ran into a couple of these with bad check valves from the factory
i do have Bryant's quite cool unit but the heat pumps about as loud as my dads snoring in his sleep i think the compressor needs new rubber feet mounts in order for it to be quiet though them fiberglass filters suck at filtration

I worked on a Carrier one few weeks ago the harness for the blower motor got moisture inside and tripped the bresker
Why not pull the wire through the duct? Bring it up in the unit through the duct, always a way to get through inside the machine!
