To be fair. Ive used a single strand wire as a fuse as an emergency once
nah..the previous technician, used it as jumper for ppl down below , while he was gone to buy the proper fuse, but he got caught up with another call where he did the same and now..
I came across a 5 amp fuse that someone had put silver tape on and essentially bypassed the fuse. I found the short but don't have a clue why the XFMR didn't smoke.
Thats the guy wants 30 dollars an hour

I reckon that's a 50A Slowblow you just pulled there.
I keep the 3amp purple fuses along with my little popper.
They donโt even blow their panels out. Itโs not surprising
5 Amp max.
Just a 60 amp jumper
