Hey Pool Owners: do you know the secret cause of that chlorine smell? If your pool smells like chlorine, it actually means you don't have enough active chlorine in your water. That chlorine smell comes from used up chlorine. AKA Chloramines You can get rid of chloramines by Shocking your water. This will break up the used up chlorine and raise your free chlorine levels back to where they need to be.
