People Owners: This is a sign that it's time to backwash your pool filter. If your filter's pressure gauge reads 10 psi above normal, your filter needs backwashing, but pressure gauges can fail over time. So if you notice low water flow coming into your pump, low water flow from the return Jets or your water is chronically cloudy, chances are you need to backwash and always check your filter's pressure gauge, but don't rely on it as your only source of when to clean your filter.
