HVAC Electrification and I Think if you were to use that word 10 20 years ago, we probably would have thought you were making up something. but today it's a term that we're hearing use more and more. and it's actually something that we're seeing pushed in our industry.

Electric heating/heat pumps are not the affordable choice to operate them. There are some areas in the country, one of the biggest area is the entire state of California, in which electric rates for power is very OVERPRICED which simply defeats the cost to operate them. The more the electric rates are per kWh, the more the public needs to focus on kWh's needed to heat and/or cool their homes. Power in CA is about 50 cents per kWh during the summer and not that much less in winter and likely, the more heat pumps that are used in winter, the rates of power may just be the same all year long. If California wants everyone to use electric, they need to get the cost of power down to 8 cents per kWh.
