Are you trying to unlock a Honeywell 8000? We did a video years ago where we actually went through the entire setup of an 8000 and if you need to do that, if you need to do a complete setup, check that video out. But in this video we're going to Simply show you how to unlock a Honeywell 8000 screen I Know this is controversial. some heating and air guys don't want homeowners to have that ability, but in my mind there's not so much you can mess up and it's your thermostat So most homeowners should be able to at least be able to get into their thermostat if they need to. Let's get right to it.

All right guys. We got our Honeywell 8000 here. Here's the home screen and if we go to menu come down to installer options. As you can see it is password protected and so to get by that what you do is you pull it off the wall and on most of them you're going to see a four digit code right here.

The problem is sometimes that's not there, Sometimes that sticker's been pulled off or this base plate does not actually go with the original thermostat here, but you see in 1804. One thing I want to show you is if you go to the actual front part of the thermostat so not the base plate but the actual controller part and you'll see the model number here just to the right is going to be that four digit code again. So if you don't see it here, go to your model number and you'll see it just to the right. And so we put our thermostat back on the wall here and go to menu come down and solar options and put in 18 04 and that should get you in.
