Climbing up a roof ladder, we get up to this Landing right here and uh, they're stacking all their stuff right here. So I've reached a dilemma. you can see they just got stuff stacked everywhere I've reached the Dilemma do I just stomp on everything and climb over there I Kind of want to but I think I'll be nice and kind of move it and then discuss with them I will be definitely stacking it up really high though. But yeah, I'm not going to be a jerk today.
but I kind of want to be what would you do? Would you just stomp on it and move on? I Don't know if I would quite fault you for that, but I'll try to be the better man today.
Tell him to move it and you’ll come back
Hay, so I can totally move your stuff out of the way but, I don't want to mix it up or break it, and you probably won't like the line item for me moving your stuff.
JERK MODE
Through it all the way across the attic
Charge service call and come back when is safe to work
I never move something not to be a dick but due to liability. Even if you didn't break anything people are dying to sue a guy nowadays. I'd have someone move it and charge a hour or have them call when it's clear.
I'm assuming for safety, access to the ladders should always be clear. Maybe the fire department or osha might be interested to see this?
I always respected the customer's property.
I just put a $500 clean fee and let them know. i’m not moving boxes and done with that
Move but don’t put it back where it was. My rule with shit in the way.
Just move it charge extra time next question Are you in Kanata ?
Just bill for you time .
Yep or throw it out of the attic. I am a mechanic I'm not a monkey Service area Orleans??
It’s a hourly rate… that’s 2 hrs worth of work 💰
Fallow me for more service guy tips😛 Are you in Barrhaven ?
I’m not a moving company!
Nope I will climb back down. Tell them to clear that space so I can access another ladder to get to the roof done before will always do it. It’s their job to keep that free and clear.
Be nice, kinda move it, charge an extra .5 hrs for dealing with stupid.
I just move stuff away ,I don't act like tantrum child.
Stomp that shit Service area Ottawa??
I would move it and charge that for it
It’s the worst when you know it happens all the time but always expect it to be clear and disappointed every time
Strange how an item can be of no value to them at the moment but if something happened to it the replacement cost to the Tradesman that breaks could cost you a fortune.
I learned early on don't touch customers' stuff that isn't involved with the job I'm doing.
Honestly, I would of have them move it. . . Because if anything breaks you could be hold liable for the Damages Service area Nepean??
As a tech not a business owner I'm rescheduling it as a owner definitely will charge u more and move it and from now on when setting up appointments I insist that area needs to be accessible and if not it's going to cost more or be rescheduled till it is
😂 some days it just depends on how our day has been going , how we tackle something.
I'd move it and move on, if it's a ton of things that will take a while, I'll tell them to move it.
I'd move it and bill them double for that time. On the invoice, I'd file it under "Time Cleaning Up Your Mess"
I would get a manager and have them move it. Meanwhile I charge for waiting time by the hour.
I used to grab the stuff and throw it as far as I could. Clothing racks in front of fire doors. After sending 50 emails and calmly moving the stuff eventually you get to your breaking point.
Been there lol
YOU NEED TEXAS INSURANCE; IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO YOU ONE OF US WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR " GIRLFRIEND OR WIFE " NOT 100% ; DEPENDING ON 😉
I’d leave and say,”when you have all this stuff moved out of the way, let me know and I’ll come back. Or I can charge you for my time moving it.”
Walk.
try to get trough, step over, fall to the ground sue them. take money invest in stocks
I charge extra to move furniture.
Because if I break something, who's going to pay for it?…
Stop work issue, notify the customer and office and seek further help in resolving this safe work issue
Oh look, another fire and escape hazard.
Refuse to service until they get cleaned up. That's a safety violation and a fire hazard. You don't know if theere's junction boxes behind all that or exposed wires. I see what looks like a breaker panel on the right? Service area Kanata??
For me it depends on the mood i believe if im windup i would have thrown the shit down, if im pretty calm i would have jumped over it if I would have been happy/calm i should stacked it😅
Well, I say tell them to move it away would be the safe bet.
I would make a video about it and ask others what should I do. Because I am still small little girl waiting to be transitioned into a big man with big cojones. Are you in Ottawa ?
I make a job up to move all their stuff and get paid for it. I like tidy plant roots and safe access.
