A couple reasons why we decided to become an American Standard dealer. Why American Standard? What's the difference? What's the deal with spine fin! Is spine fin coils better and why?

Hey guys, Joshua Griffin here serving the middle Peninsula in the Northern Neck. I want to do a quick video about the brand of heat pumps that we install, because you know a film heating and air is kind of like cars. Where you look forward, I, like Chevrolet kind of thing you know as either brand better it kind of depends on your experiences, but if you're open to different brands, you're kind of checking them out, I wanted to kind of go through. Why I think American Standard is the best brand on the market and why we started selling them? So what happened was we? We didn't start selling American Standard brand HVAC equipment and then decide they were the best we actually signed on became a dealer because people like you, said they were the best Consumer Reports, ranked him number one, and we've just had a lot of good experiences with them.
One of the things that we'll talk about, though, is some of their patent technology that no other company does so aside from the the fact that they were ranked number one by Consumer Reports or the fact that they have lots of other technology. I wanted to talk about their outdoor units having spine fin technology, and this is actually a piece of their coil that we cut out, and this is probably more of what you're used to seeing on a standard heat pump system with the you bends and the slab. Coil style, so I wanted to talk about this. So let's compare the two coils and again, I'm not a scientist, I'm just a heating and air guy.
So I'm gon na put this in normal layman's terms, but basically, when you have a typical slab type coil with you bends, those you bins will have to be braised on one end or the other of the coil and the spine. Fin technology will enter the heat pump. I actually have a piece of where the copper actually transitions to aluminum with American standards, patented technology, and then it becomes this spine fin and the coil will continue around and around that heat pump with actually a third of the braze joints than a typical slab coil. Secondly, when you compare the two coils and as time goes on, one and dust collects one arm, the coils will actually become less efficient and the spine fin technology coil has been clinically proven to be just as efficient and just as good at heat transfer way.
Many more years as time goes on so 10 years down the road where this coil may not be as well at heat transfer and working as well. This coil is working almost as well, and the last thing I'll say in comparing the two coils is the fact that a slab type coil is less resistant to life, meaning if something you know was to hit this coil, you know a hail or some type of Weather, maybe a you know, I don't know a baseball from a kid playing or something was to hit this coil. It will dent in and an air will not be able to transfer through there at all and the reason that's Ameen important is I've. Seen some of these, where it looks like this times a thousand you know it's just been beat up and air can't pass through there, and the capacity of the system is restricted quite a bit, whereas this type of coil, if you were to hit that air, could Still pass through there because of those fins, if that makes sense, so that's pretty much in it. If you have any questions, we'd love to earn your business, I'm not sitting here saying that you know if you like another brand, better we'd, still love to earn your business. I would put our install team up against anybody, but if you're open to different brands, you're checking around, that is why we sell what we sell. You know it's american-made, it's ranked number one by Consumer Reports on reliability and that's why we started selling it. We, I genuinely believe it's the best product on the market at least right now, so anyway, we'd love to earn your business.

Just replaced my 25 year old system with American Standard! I have a small ranch style home and the new 80% efficient furnace is twice as loud as my old furnace? The ecm motor sounds like a jet engine! I’ve turned down the speed on the motor to the 2nd lowest speed but wow . Just turned the heat on for the first time and my god the thing is terrible! Any suggestions? My installer is researching now .
for florida- would you suggest a heat pump? or a light commercial packaged unit on side of the home (7000sq ft home)
I agree with you bud I’m here in South Texas and work for a HVAC company that’s all we sell and install also is American Standard!!
So I got a Question I'm looking at Trane and one company is offering me American Standard for cheaper then the Trane unite they sell both. I hear American Standard didn't pass Quality Control so they slap on the American Standard logo thanks. Are you in Barrhaven ?
"Clinically proven' Ok. What clinic? And WHO paid for that test? Sorry, but that's just marketing BS speak. "Studies' are paid for by someone looking for a desired result.
dude, i have been in this business for 20 years and have seen twice as many trane and american standard units with leaks than any other brand.
Awesome video…thanks!
Thanks for the informative video Service area Orleans??
Is American Standard/Trane still the same brand it used to be? I was recently quoted a job for a 14 seer heatpump at a great price, but I was reading somewhere that Trane has had issues not honoring warranty replacement parts. Thoughts?
