Did you know the top energy waster in your home is your duct work? I've heard statistics where as much as 95% of American homes has leaky duct work. Some statistics say that as much as 45% of the air that you are paying to heat or air condition your home is being lost through the duct work. and over $25 billion doar is wasted every year in the USA on this problem. So what do you do? I'm going to give you four ways to take care of this and I think if you stick around to the last one on this list, it might surprise you.

Let's dive into this. number one. The first one is what I would call a visual inspection and repair. Having a good Pro Get in there, visually inspect everything.

the duct works in your crawl space or attic. Sometimes they can just look at it and see how it was installed and alleviate some of those problems. Sometimes it's as simple as grabbing some duct tape and some mastic and going around and just attacking the problems that you see. I've seen some pros, even even run cameras down the duct work.

I've seen guys kind of take things loose, make sure that everything is sealed real well and reinstall it and getting a good Pro in there to make some of these repairs could make a big difference. In fact, we've had customers at my company where we have done some of these repairs and the customer even say hey I feel better airf flow coming out of the vents Number two: you could replace the duct work so if you've got duct work that you know that it's bad off enough, it doesn't matter how much tape you get in there, the duct work kind of seen better days and you can just replace it, replace it new, replace it with somebody that's not going to cut corners and everything should be tiptop shape and new. Number three: you could do a duct work test and there's different tests out there. But essentially the idea with like, say, a duct blast test is they're going to pressurize that system, find leaks.

The problem with some of these tests is common sense would tell you that the duck brick is going to fail. so a lot of these tests are meant to once the repairs are made or the duct work is installed to see how much actual leakage or or loss it's having and if that number is too high then you got to go back to the drawing board. But you can have these tests done to see how much duct loss you're getting and again, if it's after you've put all this new duct work in some localities are even saying on new homes that these tests have to be done, so on new construction, they install the duct work in the system and then they do a duct blast test to make sure that everything's okay and how much leakage the duct work actually has. And finally, number Four I've got a solution for you that whether you've got problems with the existing duct work, whether you've got problems with duct work that is new, you replaced it and it still just doesn't seem like it's up to Snuff And duct Work that you've done a duct Blast test and it's failing.
What can you do? Our final solution is a product that you can repair the duct work from the inside out and this company is called Aeros Seal. Thank you to Aeros Seal for sponsoring this video! I'm going to put more information about Aeros Seal in a link down below. you can click that you can even find contractors near you that provide this product. Air Seal automatically findes and seals all leaks throughout the entire duct system with Precision giving you a home with even temperatures in every room, healthier air, and Energy savings.

And one of the things I love about this product is they don't just install it like they don't just hook a machine up and put it in there. They run the testing and verify that you get result results. They do a before and after results in a printed certificate. They come to your home, they hook up this machine.

it's sealed within a few short hours and you'll feel the difference immediately. Some customers have reported a savings on their energy bill. They've won a bunch of different Awards It's safe and durable. and the other thing I like about it is your duct work may not be visible, right? So you might have duct work in the walls.

It may not be easy to get to to visually inspect repair, replace all those things Aeros Seal It doesn't care it, It doesn't care if it's running through the walls, floor or ceiling, it's going to be able to get there. This has been the best solution that I have found of all the different products that we've looked at on the market that con seal the duct work in your home and make a big difference. So again, I'll put a link down in the description of this video, check that out, and by filling out a small form, you'll be able to find a contractor in your area and get an upfront estimate. So that's my four.

Let me know your thoughts. Have you had an issue with your duct work before? what was the solution? or do you have a current problem right now and you're looking for?
