Hey guys wanted to do a real, quick video. One of the questions i get all the time is what is the best hvac brand and i've done tons of videos on this? I did a whole series on the fact that your contractor matters more than the brand and things to watch out for as far as a bad installation from a contractor so check that series out, if you haven't already seen it. But i wanted to do this. Video and just basically throw a couple things out there that i think will help you in the search as you're sifting through brands and things like that.

The thing i think that is most important, that if you're comparing contractors and brands and you're just looking at all this stuff is two things. The first thing - and i've said this on other videos, but i really want to hammer at home, and that is, i think, in my opinion, there is no one brand, that's the best in every single market. I think the brand that i sell is the best in my market. That's why i sell it and there's things about it that i really like and there's things that i can offer that no one else offers in my market and that's why i love it.

But i'm not so naive to think that that brand is the best in every market. There are parts in the country that they don't even have a supplier there, so you can't hardly get parts for it. You'd probably have to order them straight from the manufacturer or probably online. I don't really know, but it would be easy to say that that brand is not the best in that market right, and so with that said, i think there are other markets that other brands that would be really good in that market.

It's got a great supplier, great warranty, great whatever and oh, by the way, the contractor - that's installing it is really good right, but then you take that same exact brand and you bring them to my market. I can think of one brand off the top of my head that it seems like there's people on the internet, other guys that are in the trade that i'll talk to. They love the brand they're all about it and in my market it's you, you can't hardly get parts for it and i don't even know who i would call for the the parts for that brand. Hardly any of my customers even have it and so on.

So that would be the first thing is you know you can read online, you can go to some website, you can even go to say consumer reports and things like that and they'll say: oh this brand's better than the rest, but just realize that doesn't mean it's. The best brand in your market, so you might say, well josh. What do i do, then i mean, if i don't know what the best brand is just like. If i go to buy a car, i don't know what the best car to buy.

What do i do now? Where do i go from here, and i think that the next step this? The second thing that i would say is you know check out that series. I did on bad installations find a good contractor, but i think the main thing i've said this to subscribers on my website. Newhvacguide.Com is you want to find a contractor that does two things. First, you want to find a contractor that gives you the warm fuzzies.

You feel good you've, you know you have a connection with them. It doesn't necessarily have to be the owner of the company, but just someone there. You feel good about them. They're telling you all the right things and you got good vibes from them, but the second thing is: you want to find a company that is drinking the kool-aid for that brand and what i mean by that is they believe in that brand again there are other Markets other contractors that might be drinking the kool-aid from a different brand than i am right there.

They're saying this is the brand. This is the one. This is the one that i believe in this is the one i want to sell to my customers and i think it's the best for these reasons, and i think that that is the number one thing i did another video where i said hey, you know you Need to ask that contractor: why do they sell what they sell and they need to be able to tell you why? Well, i think piggybacking off of that is once you find that contractor you trust you want to go with the brand that they believe in the one that you know. You don't want to find a contractor.

That's like hey, you know. Whatever brand you pick, i can sell it to you. No, i only sell what i sell. I will not sell anything else.

If i have a customer that says: hey josh, i really want this brand over here. Will you know what, if i get it or what? If you can get it, and will you sell it to me and will you install that brand? My answer is no, i will only sell you what i install and what i believe in and i think that's really important. You want to find a contractor that feels the same way about their brand and then, finally, if you are in the market for a new heating and air system, if you're in the middle peninsula or northern neck of virginia, give us a call griffin air, we would Love to earn your business, but if you're not in our coverage area, you're somewhere else in the country - and you are in the market for a new heating and air system.
