Expecting snow to fall on your pool this year? Well, here are three things you need to do to protect your pool when it snows. Number one: Brush the snow off your cover. Use a soft broom to brush snow off your pool cover because the weight of the snow can damage your cover or pull on the sides if it's an above ground pool. Number two: Drain off any snow melt.

Use a cover pump to remove any water that pulls on top that can also weigh down your cover. Number three: Check your water level after the snow melts. Check your pool's water level because you don't want the pool to overflow or the water level to get too high. especially if you need it below the skimmer in the winter.
